About this cabin rental
Beautiful cabin with lots of space for the whole family. Enjoy peace and quiet and lots of privacy. We are very close to the upper Buffalo wilderness area for great hiking, canoeing and climbing. We are barely a mile from the National Park and 5min from JB Tradings great store that has gas, food and great things for any outdoor adventures. We are 1.25 miles down gravel roads. Come enjoy our private pool/hot tub and newly added game room with ping pong and air hockey!!
The space
Close to waterfalls and an old homestead built of hand hewn logs. Conveniently located to hiking trails as well. Center point trail, Compton trailhead, hideout hollow trailhead, hawksbill trail and more! Ponca and Boxely are close and highway 43 where you can watch Elk!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cabin! The pool is seasonal and usually opens up around Memorial Day sometimes earlier just depending on the weather but we have a big hot tub for you to enjoy! We just added a new game room with ping pong and air hockey!!
Other things to note
We are very close and convenient to the upper Buffalo wilderness area for great hiking and canoeing and climbing. As the crow flies, we are barely a mile from the National Park and 1/2 mile from JB Trading Co, Compton's great store that has gas, food and great things for your outdoor adventures. We are 1.25 miles down gravel roads off Hwy 43 in Compton AR

We gathered as family here for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding in Jasper AR at Mountain Edge Wedding Events. The house was fantastic for a big family gathering! There is so much to do just at the property that you wouldn't even need to leave with the pool, hot tub, corn hole, pool table, air hockey, ping pong table, dart boards, basketball goal and more...The house is very well shocked, all you need is your clothes and groceries and you are good to go!We were slightly disappointed that we couldn't utilize the pool during our stay due to a cracked pool pump(which we understand was out of the owners control)but we found plenty to do and it worked out perfectly fine.The only one suggestion that I have is the family that slept downstairs did complain that the mattress were uncomfortable. They may need an upgrade soon but other than that we absolutely loved it!

This is a beautiful house. Although we didn’t use the pool it was very clean and well maintained. The hosts are great to work with.

The online photos made the property look more appealing than in real life. The fly situation was horrendous! Obviously black flies have been an on-going issue at this property since we were supplied numerous fly swatters and fly strips. The one fly strip hanging in the kitchen was disgusting, full of dead flies when we arrived. For what we paid, we were expecting a cleaner place to stay. Maybe if we paid half of what we actually paid, it would have met expectations. I texted the host Thursday morning ahead of our arrival but never received a response. So, the host fee was overpriced. :( Also, the game room had an unpleasant smell so no one stayed in there for long.The driveway had some washout areas which need to be repaired. All-in-all, this was the first property I've booked through VRBO where we were disappointed.
