Apartamentos da Capela

The apartment was just great with very interesting architectural design with moving walls and awsome view over the city. The apartment it quiet but in the heart of the old city center with lot of things to do. It is easy to go by wallking to the cellers across the river or visit the cathedral above.

The stairs - it is on the forth floor but expect high ceillings :) But it is worth it. Well we came by car and it is a city, so it is not so easy to park there. But you can stay on the street for loading quiet long and there is a payed parking about 3-5min by walking. Expect higher prices, but it is the cheapest in Porto.

It was very clean, beds were very comfortable, aircon was great. It was a cute studio flat

It was an inward facing apartment so was abit dark on the balcony and in the flat, but it had lots of nice lighting so it didn’t bother us.

The location was excellent for tourist attractions, restaurants, left luggage lockers etc. Well equipped kitchen, good air con, a nice space.

The double room is a little small

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 adults but this is a one bedroom apartment with a loft area above a central bathroom. The height of the loft area is so low you are not able to stand up and the open railing means there is little privacy and it is very noisy. the narrow stairs to the loft also are dangerous to navigate especially coming down. The apartment is dark and the windows open onto a central narrow ‘courtyard ‘ which means that any noise from other apartments is magnified. The main bedroom has only a narrow gap between the walls and the bed and it has a ‘saloon like’ door giving little privacy. The plumbing in the walls also meant you knew when neighbours were using the bathroom. Being in this apartment was like being in a Jacques Tati film….. there were noises everywhere. We found it so unsatisfactory we left early and got alternate accommodation.
