Light House Apartments - Casas da Baixa

The Location is Excellent. 5 minutes walk to Commerce Square. Restaurants and local convenient store right in front. Elevator so no hauling your luggage up flights of stairs. A/C !!! City view!!!! André responding to everything we asked within a timely manner and very accommodating.

There’s a fishy smell like “canned fish” in the hallway. Not terribly bad but noticeable.

Excellent location, close to good restaurants and to the city centre. 5 minutes walk to Terreiro do Paco metro station and also close to a 28E tram stop (if you can get on one). Very large loft room on the 9th floor ('superior studio').

Sloping ceiling might be a hazard for taller people, as might getting the key out of the key safe (Very low down and inside a mail box). The main downside for us was support from the host. No onsite support and only limited online support from 9 to 5. We had no internet during a 4 day stay (no signal from the router) and it didn't get fixed. Some other questions were never answered. But overall a good apartment.

The location is super, a few minutes walk to most of landmarks, especially the largest plaza Praça do Comércio. It’s very convenient for first time travelers to see most of attractions.

It’s a little noisy since there’s restaurants nearby but it reduced the noise once the window is closed.

The location of the property was great, the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

The couch armrest was broken, there was rain water coming from the window, the bathroom cabinets were falling apart. I wasn’t informed of needing to pay 25 euros/day for my pet, and they required a 200 euros temporary charge for potential damages. They sent me a link to pay the 25/night but it didn’t work. I had to chase them (send messages and call different numbers) to get them to charge that money. They asked for card information on the booking chat and sent the check-in codes on the day of arrival, which made me feel uneasy.
