Ali Ancient House 555

A genuine home with beautiful details from the decor to the high ceilings. Lots of light, comfortable beds and throughout our stay the hosts made sure all amenities were in tip-top shape. The bathroom was cleaned every day without us ever noticing it happening, they made sure filtered drinking water was always full. They have a laundry service that they offer for just a small fee and we had so much laundry from our recent trip to the mountains that it was so so nice to have clean clothes. We also ended up opting for breakfast (also a small charge) every day of our stay the eggs, tea, cheeses, fruit and pastries were generous! Breakfast was hosted in their sun room that was lush with plants and looked out over their yard. It felt so luxurious and homey at the same time. The couple was also so friendly and kind. This was our favorite and most comfortable place we stayed in our two and a half week trip in Azerbaijan. The city center was a short walk down cobblestone streets and the old town was a quick taxi or car trip or about a 20 minute walk (which was very doable). We loved it here!

I honestly can't think of a single thing we didn't like. There is a sorta steep staircase so depending on mobility this might not be the best choice of stay.

Quiet and spacious in a residential area on the edge of town. Guesthouse owners were very helpful and kind - and made you feel like you were at home. I loved the pomidor tumults for breakfast. It was as good as the ones outside if not better.

Wifi was weak at times and getting hot water was a problem on the second morning. But not a problem at all in the bigger scheme of things.
