Langkawi Country Lodge

You could not wish for better hosts than Papa Mas and Mama YatI, wonderful, friendly and with such a positive outlook. All the other staff were friendly and helpful also. Great location very close to beach and shops but in a quiet, peaceful setting. Breakfast was different every day and always very tasty. Great WiFi. The free airport transport was great, being greeted by a smiley face. I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed only two nights and three days. It was extremely enjoyable. Mama Yati and Papa Mas are the kindest hosts and showed the utmost hospitality. Breakfast included a variety of choices, including buns, pastries, small egg tacos, toast, omelets, fruits, and salads. Very close to the beach, only 6-7 mins walking. This was the best part. We walked to the beach twice every day and swam. Free transfer from and to the airport was provided, which was a pleasant bonus. Overall, we had a great time there: beautiful surroundings, safe, and everything (restaurants, cafes, fast food, etc.) close by. Next time we will definitely go there again! Thank you, Mama Yati and Papa Mas!

Everything was great!

Staying at Country Lodge Langkawi was a wonderful experience. The owner and staff go above and beyond to make every guest's stay comfortable, memorable, and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality and genuine care really made us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of freshly prepared food to start the day. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the overall service exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Langkawi. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose Country Lodge again on our next visit.

One small drawback was that during heavy rain, the metal roof outside created quite a lot of noise. It was especially noticeable late at night and made it a little uncomfortable to sleep. Apart from this, the overall stay was pleasant.

The key highlight was the staff which were very helpful and kind. The fresh fruit and omelet was great, but the other options (e.g., pasta) wasn't really breakfast food.

There are older and newer rooms / areas. I had an old room in the main building which wasn't good - very loud in the morning with people talking and walking around (got woken up at 7am), the door has big gaps around so the light shines through so hard to fall asleep and weird smell in the hall at times. The furniture was old and the bed frame looked dirty; I only stayed one night so didn't bother asking to switch. The towels also looked dirty so I asked for new ones which were ok but could still see stains that probably can't wash off.
