About this house rental

This spacious 1880’s home sits on a large corner lot and features the best of rustic old & modern style. Cozy for a family vacation, or for friends working remotely, you will settle in easily here. Sleep on comfy beds, cook meals together in the large kitchen, and stay up late playing games! Big day on the mountain? We've got strong showers, patio furniture, and best of all, a hot tub. Your pup will love the spacious yards & you'll love the Mountain views and easy access to town.

We live in the neighborhood and are close by if you need anything. There is a tiny home in the back yard with a long term tenant. She is a native to Leadville and a good resource if you have questions about the area, but she will respect your privacy. The hot tub and front and back porches are all yours!

This is a corner house ideally located in a quiet, spacious section of downtown. You will love the ease of parking and getting around from here. It's an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants and you can bike to the trails and the Mineral Belt from the house. The dog park, bike park, and skate park are also within a few blocks.

Keypad on front door. There's ample parking for 4+ cars or an RV in front of the house or in the driveway. (note: owners occasionally need foot access to the garage, but when this happens, we will access it via the back door)

Welcome skiers, mountain bikers, and climbers! Welcome families, couples, racers and crew! Welcome doodles, mutts, and pit bulls; we are ready for you! Welcome coffee and hot chocolate sippers. Welcome board game players, and work-from-homers. This space was created with ALL of you in mind.

Winter sports:: we are 15 minutes from Ski Cooper and 30 min from Copper Mtn. Vail and Breck are an easy drive.

Athletes: we are an easy bike or walk to the Mineral Belt, to a yoga studio, and to cycling/skiing trails. Need to borrow a bike pump, tools, yoga mat or foam roller? Just ask.

Coffee & tea drinkers: a kettle, drip coffee maker, grinder, and milk frother is provided. A Keurig too! Filters, whole beans, and a variety of tea bags are provided, too.

Large washer/dryer in master bath with detergent & dryer sheets.

Hot tub: Must remain at 100-103 degrees. Do not drop the temperature. Children under 5 are not allowed and all children must be supervised. Do not take the top off (it folds- see instructions in the home). Do not leave uncovered. Please shower before use. IF you are in the home for 3+ days, we request that you leave the floating chlorinator in overnight only. We adjust chemicals after every stay. If the hot tub is filthy and requires a full emptying before the next guest, or if it is left under 98 degrees, we charge $100 fo the added maintenance time.

Note: This is a spacious corner lot with fenced front & back yards. The back yard is SHARED space (there is a tenant in the tiny house); however the porches and hot tub are all yours.

Watch for snow & ice on the back deck. NO GLASS or smoking in the hot tub or backyard , please!

NOTE! Leadville is a small mountain town at high elevation. Although we do our best to keep everything in tip top shape, things do occasionally break. We will notify you in advance if there are problems with WIFI, hot tub, etc. We rely on these items working, too, and problems are rare.

Absolutely no drugs, guns or parties on premises. Be considerate of neighbors.

From the moment we arrived I knew we made an excellent choice to stay here. The location is just a couple blocks from downtown so walking to eat or shop is simple and easy. I brought my kids (15 & 13) from the east coast to experience "real" skiing and we certainly were not disappointed when we arrived to 12" of fresh powder at Cooper Mt - just 15min away. The host even has someone who shoveled the porch and walkways. Inside has everything- adorable local artwork, all the appliances you can think of like a kettle to boil water for either the french press with fresh coffee in the grinder or the assortment of teas, pop corn, and even a beer cooler stocked so you can crack open a cold beverage before you have a chance to make it to the store. The hot tub was exactly what we wanted after a long day on the slopes and the included robes made us feel like we were at the Four Seasons. The house has great flow for a 3 bedroom 2 bath giving everyone space to spread out. The rooms are all generous sized with great beds, excellent linen, and plenty of pillows. It felt clean and fresh, not like other rentals I've stayed at with mismatched linens and towels making you wonder how old they were and where they came from. Everything here felt new and purposeful. Other nice touches were things like extra paper goods and toiletries so you don't have to worry about that first roll of paper towels or shampoo. I would definitely recommend it. I'm already thinking of coming back in the summer.
