The pre-stay information, communication and care taken to help us enjoy the stay. The little touches in the apartment, the stunning views and the sunrise you can see from apartment 9. The location and ease of access to Old village and also down to the sea.

Excellent location and value.

The location was excellent for us, just a short walk up to the High Street, of down to the waterfront esplanade, or the famous Chine. You'll find many restaurant options in either direction, although food quality really varied. There is an ocean view from both balconies and the apartment is clean, modern, and has all the features and comforts we needed for 3 adults to spend 3 days here.

I found the upstairs bed too soft, and a Nespresso coffee maker would have been a nice-to-have feature.

Nice place to relax

We booked a few nights at the Bay House at the end of a trip through South England, to relax, mostly. The apartment did that job well. The host provided quite a lot of gadgets to feel well-pampered, and the apartment was in an excellent state (which was almost a bit surprising, after getting there by walking through Shanklin from the railway station, which felt quite run-down at times). The apartment is "at the end" of the village, close to the beach (after a descent of some 30m, I guess) and to the Chive, a slightly Disneyfied mini-vale. Our Apartment (#9) had two outside spaces, and the sea-view from the one on the upper floor was nice, while being well-protected from too much exposure to sun or wind.

Only minor point of "shortage": we travelled as a party of 4 with at times diverging plans. A single set of keys felt a bit limiting.

Best holiday Apartment I’ve stayed in to date!

Everything. The communication was phenomenal. We had a personal issue on the day of travel and Louise sorted us out a later ferry. We were so utterly grateful. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Attention to detail was exceptional. Location was perfect.

Absolutely perfect holiday apartment.

The location was perfect for walking to the old town and the beach. The apartment was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay, including picnic set and beach towels. The washing machine was an added bonus. Louise, the host, was super helpful and sent details of places to eat and visit, as well as letting us know the times for the carnival parade. Lots of lovely places to visit on Isle of Wight, would recommend.

Relaxing, comfortable, superb locations and property - would definitely visit again

Spot on location, so close to the seafront but quiet and peaceful - found a lovely place for breakfast that we went to every day and found a lovely restaurant in Shanklin

Was disturbed for a short time in the middle of one night by a neighbouring property but the host of bay apartments had no control over that. And it didn’t last very long.

Nice view, Cleanliness and attention to details, Great location to beach, local shops/pubs and Shanklin Chine. The host was also fantastic, provided us with lots of useful recommendations, helped with ferry booking and respond to queries quickly. Great experience overall.

Beautifully decorated in fresh white and blue hues, clean and well thought out apartment in a great location a short walk from the beach and esplanade. Perfect!

Louise saved our holidays after we had been let down by other host, less than 24hrs before our planned arrival. Not only she managed to accommodate us at such short notice but also proved to be an exceptionally attentive and helpful host throughout our stay. The apartment is exactly as described. Modern and luxurious, in the block of flats on top of the cliff, overlooking both beach and famous Shanklin Chine beauty spot, minutes from seafront, Old Village and local shops and walking distance from High St. It's duplex style flat with en-suite bedroom upstairs and open plan kitchen /living area, another bedroom and bathroom downstairs. That makes it perfect for families:as young ones can sleep upstairs undisturbed by the rest of the family having fun downstairs. Both floors have terraces offering seaview As other reviews mention, the place is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. High quality furnishings and ornaments, lots of natural materials like wood and natural fibres which adds to seaside holiday vibe. Comfy beds and sofa, kiitchen appliances from top brands like AEG, every kitchen utensil an average person will ever need. Milk, tea, coffe, cleaning products shower gel, shampoo etc, and even bath soak and salts all provided by host, as well as beach towels and picnic set! Apartment has its own parking space and felt safe and quiet at night. Cannot recommend it highly enough, especially if you are looking for place that will make your mini break or longer holidays much more special and memorable. We will definitely return later this year.
