About this villa rental
Beautiful 3 bedroom villa in the heart of Andalucia with a private pool. New to the rental market 2022.
Large outside area with multiple tables/chairs/sunbeds and lounging areas. Stunning views of the mountains, surrounded by forestry, farmland and gardens.
Located just 3.5km from the beautiful Cómpeta Pueblo. Only 20 minutes drive to the nearest beach at Torrox Costa.
This spendid 3 bedroomed villa has been recently refurbished to high modern standards.
The villa has a fully fitted American style kitchen complete with a large fridge freezer, electric fan oven, induction hob, extractor and a fitted dish washer. There is also a toaster, microwave and filter coffee machine, nespresso machine provided. The cupboards have all the essential cooking utensils, crockery and plates.
From the kitchen you walk into the bright and airy open plan lounge and dining area. This is favourably temperature controlled with air conditioning.
There is a modern wooden dining table for those rare times when you wish to dine indoors.
The lounge area is very tastefully arranged and furnished with a log burner and a LED TV with HDMI points. Google Chromecast and free WIFI is provided. This is a light room with large patio doors leading to the pool and outside terraces.
The Master bedroom has stunning views over the countryside, mountains. There is a comfortable king size bed, fitted wardrobes and ceiling fan. The en-suite shower room is modern and stylish, recently refurbished to a high standard.
Bedroom 2 has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes and ceiling fan.
Bedroom 3 is complete with twin beds, fitted wardrobes and ceiling fan.
There is also a family shower room which again has been fitted this season to high standards.
We also provide a laundry room with washing machine for your use, ironing board and iron. Here you will find also the microwave.
The pool terrace includes an outside kitchen area with gas BBQ and shaded dining area. Once you've seen it you will not want to leave!
This is a private and secluded area and not shared or overlooked, perfect for sunbathing.
There is also an outside shower for you to cool down and remove the oils and lotions prior to entering the swimming pool.
The villa is located approximately 3.5km in the campo (countryside) outside Cómpeta pueblo in the Almajara Mountain range. The access road to the villa is mainly concreted and well maintained and easily navigated.
The garden and pool terraces are fully fenced.
The surrounding villages offer many bars, restaurants to dine, so can easily eat out every day and sample the local cuisine at an affordable price.
This area is renowned for its speciality Cómpeta Wine and festival dishes of Migas, Paella and the sharing of the grapes.
Within the village of Cómpeta it is possible to organise tours to vineyards, walking tours, boat trips, hire of cycles, jeeps, kayaks and many many more activities. We recommend that you pay a visit to the tourist office on the edge of the village by the bus stop, they have a wealth of knowledge and speak many languages.
The vibrant pueblo of Cómpeta has several supermarkets , panaderias (bread shop) & pescaderias (fish shops) generally open from 9am-8pm daily, except Sundays and Festival days, so worth checking in advance. This area does respect the siesta time of the day 2-5pm so some of the shops maybe closed during this period.
You will also find hairdressers, beauty salons, clothing stores, farmacias, doctors and dentists within the village.
We are approximately 12 km from the nearest beach, Torrox Costa, which is pleasantly clean and well maintained with many bars and chirringuitos for your fish tastes.
The journey from Malaga takes around 1 hour by car.
It is possible to arrange for travel cots and high chairs for your smaller children. There are also some toys, please contact us to arrange (fees payable locally).

Overall, this villa is beautiful in a peaceful, quiet location 20 minutes outside of Torrox. The property manager is excellent to deal with, being very willing to work with you on any inquiries, check in process, or issues that may arise. There is a welcome binder that was excellent in answering any questions of the property or area.
The villa was well equipped for all temperatures, having extra blankets, heat pump, AC, and a wonderful pool & outside lounging area. We would highly recommend to any couple or family looking to get away and enjoy a quiet vacation.
Our only complaint was the excess red ants on the property, which regardless of the attention to keeping kitchen/dining room areas clean & food free, the ants were present & plentiful. There was ant spray provided which did help and after discussions with the property manager, they did mention the fall months made the local area difficult for ants. All food must be stored in the fridge or sealed- air tight containers as if not, within 20 minutes storms of ants would be invading. You will need to clean directly after cooking/eating to ensure ants stay away. In mentioning this one negative, do not let it deter all the positives of such a beautiful home. We would 100% happily stay again in the future.

This is our second stay at Casa Calmante.
This is a very clean, well equipped house.
The pool is very clean and well maintained.
The view over the valley is stunning at sunrise while eating breakfast on the terrace.
If you want to get away from it all, and enjoy peace and quite, this house would more than meet your needs!

Two weeks in July 2023. The villa itself is lovely - well equipped and beautifully presented.
The outside is perfect - you can always find a position in sun or shade whichever you wish. The pool was terrific - great size - lovely temperature.
The views whilst sitting on the terrace were incredible - with a variety of birds and wildlife passing by.
Nearby Competa is lovely with a great variety of restaurants and smaller supermarkets.
Within easy reach are great beaches and busier towns.
Vikki and Simon from Inside out were always available and very helpful.
We cannot speak highly enough of our stay. Thank you

What a wonderful time we have had.
Simon from the property management team was extremely helpful meeting us on arrival and taking us up to the villa to explain necessities and answer any questions we had. Thank you Simon!
On arrival there was a welcome package which was so thoughtful. The villa is just lovely, beautifully furnished, very clean and exceeded our expectations.
It is very well equipped and In a stunning location with spectacular views across the valley.
Barbecue and pool area is just perfect and we spent most of our time outside. Favourite spot for me sitting in the shade under the tranquility of the olive tree. A great spot for some morning yoga.
The beautiful mountain village of Competa is a 15 minute drive away. As is the coastal town of Nerja with its beach and myriad of restaurants.
For us, we wanted the peace and quiet and time to ourselves to settle down to read, laze in the sun, cook, eat and drink as we please.
Birdsong, sunrises, sunsets this was the perfect last week of our holiday. Would definitely return.
