Clean & excellent location but 3 bedroom apartment Great location

Clean apartments, spacious bathroom and shower, good pots and pans for cooking at home. We slept great (and slept in till 8am which is very rare) because the Shutters and curtains worked really well making the room dark. Great location in Tolmin - bakery, cafes, bars supermarkets, museum and playground on your doorstep. Free street parking (5 spaces) infront of apartment which we always found a spot otherwise there’s a large free parking lot just 50m from apartment. Also a great base to explore the Soca Valley and surrounding towns. Washing machine was useful as we stayed for 6 nights but the washing machine is located in the entrance/hall and shared with other guests. Host was lovely and very quick to contact us when we were a bit confused at checkin.

The heading/title and photos are misleading, as this is not a ‘3 bedroom apartment’. The main room is a studio apartment with a bed, couch, kitchen and dining room and a bathroom, and to access the other two bedrooms and bathroom you need to exit the apartment and go up stairs via communal stair case. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are joined by a communal hall way. We booked the 3 bedroom apartment so we could be together as a family but the layout felt a bit seperate and disjointed. My wife, 2 yr old daughter and I couldn’t use the bedroom we planned to (with double bed and a single bed) because we couldn’t leave our 2year old daughter sleeping locked in a room on a different floor alone. My mother-in-law slept in the 2nd level bedroom but would have to wait in her bedroom until we woke up and unlocked our door to come down to the kitchen/studio apartment. Apartment was a bit tricky to find because the street you access the apartment from is a different name to the address. Checkin instructions were confusing as there are two lockboxes with the same code we were given. The bath towels we were given were very small and only slightly bigger than our hand towel and we weren’t given a bathroom floor mat. In the kitchen we were given 3 face washers to dry dishes instead of a tea towel. Doona, pillows, bath towels and kitchen face washers all smelt a bit old and musty. WiFi Was weak on in our rooms on the first and second floor and dropped out often. It would be great if the host could confirm the tourist tax and payment when you arrive so we can orgnaise the exact change, as we only received the message with tourist tax instructions at 9am on checkout day and we were already packed up and in the car about to leave.

Gemütlich und zentral

Die gemütliche kleine Wohnung liegt sehr zentral. Sie war für uns AlpeAdria Trail Wanderer zum Ausruhen perfekt. Die Ausstattung ließ nichts vermissen, alles war sauber und richtig einladend. Schöne Cafés ganz nah. Gute Supermärkte fußläufig erreichbar. Problemloser self check- in und sehr freundlicher Kontakt.

Schöne Unterkunft im Herzen Tolmins

Das Old Square House bietet einem eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft mitten in Tolmin. Man ist sehr zentral im Ort, in der Umgebung befinden sich genug Parkmöglichkeiten und man kann alles sehr gut fußläufig erreichen. Ich war sehr positiv über die größe des Appartements überrascht, welches sich über zwei Stockwerke zieht und genug Platz für alle und alles bietet. Im Dachgeschoss befindet sich der geräumige Wohn- und Essbereich mit einem schönen Balkon, von dem sich das Soca-Tal überblicken lässt. Wir haben primär außerhalb gegessen, aber für die anderen Bedürfnisse ist die Küche super ausgestattet. Man hat zwei Toiletten und Duschen, was den Aufenthalt in einer größeren Gruppe erleichtert. Wir kommen nächstes Mal gerne wieder her!

Was für mich Abzüge gibt, war die fehlende Waschmaschine. Die Unterkunft wurde mit Waschmaschine beworben, aber es war keine vorhanden. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, diese sei gerade kaputt, aber wir haben in der Wohnung auch nirgends einen möglichen Anschluss gefunden. Wir hatten extra platzsparend gepackt und eine Waschmaschine eingeplant. Im Dorf gibt es zwar einen Waschsalon, aber dieser kostet natürlich zusätzlich Zeit und Geld. Sowas sollte definitiv im Voraus angekündigt werden, nicht erst vor Ort. Die obere Toilette scheint nicht mehr richtig zu funktionieren. Die Spülung plätschert nur ein bisschen und das Wasser läuft nicht gut ab. Auch waren keine Putzutensilien wie Staubsauger und Co. vorhanden, um mal zwischendurch durchzuputzen

Elhelyezkedése nagyon jó. Ha a ház előtt nincs hely , ban egy parkoló 100 méterre.

Nincs szekrény a ruháknak, bár elég nehéz is lenne hova rakni.

Veľmi pekné ubytovanie priamo v centre. Čisté, mali sme uteráky a ubytovateľ bol ochotný, že môžeme prísť skôr. Parkovanie verejné na ulici.

Nešlo nám svetlo v 1 z kúpeľní. V 2 kúpeľni bol zápach - asi odtok. Bolo napísané, že budú 3 spálne a boli len 2 - treťou spálňoi bola myslená obývačka, kde boli 2 gauče. Ale to bolo v poriadku, pretože mali súkromia dostatok.
