Great parking close by, off road. Easy instructions to obtain key & assistance offered, if I had needed anything. All facilities clean and it was a quiet area, within easy reach of the A1 It was nice to be able to make a cuppa in the kitchen ☕

It was all fine; but it will benefit from a bit more of a personal touch in the room itself.

The bathroom, the kitchen and the way it was dealt the booking.

Even if the location and the house number was not easy to find, the host was talking to me at midnight to help. And there was also another number in case she couldn't.

The location is great and easy to find. Great communication, the manager called me on my mobile as soon as I booked the room. Easy to access the keys

No breakfast provided, but access to kitchen for tea, coffee, etc, and making meals. Impeccably clean - and I didn't expect TWO changes of bed-linen ad towels - well done!. Facilities were basic - eg downstairs toilet had no lock, or toilet-roll holder, or even a towel. Single bedroom (mine) had no room for chair, there was no tv (although one in communal lounge - but even there, there was just one sofa to seat two). Hennie (who seemed to be in charge and whom I met on leaving), seems to have prompted owner to begin to improve things. I have seen improvements already since my earlier comments to the owner, and I am confident that (with Hennie's pushing) standards can be improved.

Oh dear! 1. Bedroom too small even to have a chair. No mirror (and of course no tv (though largescreen tv was available in the lounge (but with only one two-seater settee). Would guests who did not know each other be be prepared to sit closely together? 2. Downstairs loo: no lock, no TR holder, no towel or towel-holder.
