Quiet rural neighborhood near Milford Lake

Stan was a great host. He was there during our stay. We enjoyed talking with him. The house was perfect for my family. Very clean and had what we needed. I definitely recommend this house for a stay .

My friends and I use VRBO because the host does not stay when we stay. Generally interactions are through messaging in the app. I received a message 2 months prior to our stay asking if the host could stay on site while we were there. I replied that generally the reason we go with VRBO is that we stay alone. We are a group of 4 older friends who are vendors at events. We are quiet clean people and we spend most of our stays together at our events. We come back to the property to socialize and then rest. He said he then had somewhere else to stay during that time and he would not intrude on our privacy. He then messaged 3 days before, providing entrance information. The day of, he messaged that he doesn't provide coffee, then messaged to request that I let him know when we would arrive. I gave him the time, and he replied that he "would be around." He was there when we arrived, walked us through the house on the "grand tour" then proceeded to let us know he would be staying across the highway (less than a quarter mile away) and that he would be working in his workshop on the property on Saturday. He also was there when we left. We are used to VRBO stays where we never see anyone but the friends we're staying with. The house wasn't as clean as we usually see. Dirty sock in the upstairs bath and hair in the downstairs sink. Something sticky on the floor downstairs and drip marks on the cabinets under coffee maker. He was nice enough, but not what we wanted while using VRBO.
