Created with cottage experiences and comfort in mind, the cottage has 4 queens, 2 doubles, 1 single bed and 3 full baths! Spacious with TWO LARGE gathering areas for entertainment and dinning seating for the entire group, perfect places to relax, enjoy great company and great food!
Contemporary design, custom decor with rustic elements and one of a kind driftwood pieces, will surely make you feel comfy cozy. With access to all our watercraft and amenities, your escape awaits at Driftwood Hideaway! Enjoy skiing with the ski hill a scenic 20 minutes away.

OUTSIDE:
Enjoy all our watercraft kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, pedal boating, 14ft aluminum boat, or swimming from the docks. Or enjoy nature in one of the multiple outside seating areas including: outdoor eating area and lounge area, sitting area (off master bedroom), or the front porch overlooking the private forest. Have campfires and s'mores with your group at the fire-pit (fire wood complimentary) or lounge watching others play horse shoes, ladder toss, bocce ball, yard Yahtzee, 18ft miniature golf green (putters and golf balls provided), 100 ft zipline!
INSIDE:
Upon entering the foyer you will get your first glimpse of the GREAT ROOM, with majestic views of the natural surroundings, a pine vaulted ceiling and fireplace to compliment the view. On the side of the the great room is the open concept kitchen and dining room.
The fully equipped GOURMET KITCHEN is well stocked with all the amenities of home. This area includes an 8 ft live edge harvest table and bench and a large island, LOTS of seating for dinner entertainment.
Kitchen amenities includes fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, coffee maker with carafe, kettle, toaster, toaster oven, pots & pans, roasting pans, crockpot, blender, dishes, cutlery, dish towels, cloths and dish soap.
There are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms on the main level. These bedrooms feature queen size beds and black out curtains to aid in a good nights rest. The master bedroom offers an en-suite with a large glass shower and a private balcony with stunning views of the lake. The other 2 bedrooms have large windows with views of the private forest with kilometres of hiking trails starting at the property.
On the lower level is a SPACIOUS ENTERTAINMENT AREA, large windows provide an abundance of natural light and a reclaimed wood wall accentuates the scenic view. There is 1 queen, 2 double, 1 single bed and a 3rd full bathroom with relaxing JACUZZI TUB!
Those coming with extended family will appreciate the lower level kitchenette equipped with a round table with 4 chairs, large fridge, sink, microwave, double hot plate, Keurig, kettle, toaster, toaster oven, pots & pans, dishes, cutlery, popcorn maker, bread maker, etc.
INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT:
Basketball net, shuffleboard table, pool table, large selection of board games, puzzles and books, 70 inch smart TV and 50 inch TV with Amazon fire stick, Wii, DVD player, over 200 DVDs and Starlink high speed Internet.
WINTER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:

LAKESIDE:
For those that like to walk into the water there is a small shallow area which is great for children. Deeper water for jumping in and fishing off the dock. Parking is available at the dock if bringing a boat. There are stairs to the waterfront.
The majority of the lake's waterfront is crown land, as well as the abutting property. The cottage is close to a public boat launch (2 minute drive) and gas less than 1 minute by boat.The lake offers Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass, and Walleye.
There are plenty of nearby hiking trails and ATV trails to explore. The area is well known for it's scenic hiking trails. Be sure to check out the Eagles Nest lookout, one of several on the Manitou Mountain Trail.

We rented this beautiful house for a Valentine's Day weekend winter getaway with four other couples. The house was absolutely gorgeous and tastefully decorated with driftwood accents throughout. It offered breathtaking views of Black Donald Lake from its enormous windows in the great room. We snowshoed through the woods, and enjoyed bonfires in the outdoor firepit. The house was well stocked with dishes and cooking accessories. The owners provided excellent written directions detailing included amenities, nearby trails, local activities, places to visit, etc. They were also extremely responsive to our email queries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious oasis nestled in a quiet, natural setting.

What a beautiful place! We were a group of 6 friends (book club) who try to get away 1 or 2 weekends each year. This spot was, without a doubt, one of the best places we've had. Absolutely beautiful property, gorgeously decorated, immaculate and extremely well-equipped. Hosts were lovely to deal with and very responsive to our questions. We would be hard pressed to think of anything negative to say about our stay. Looking forward to returning some day.

Driftwood Hideaway is a beautiful, clean and comfortable new Lake House with amazing views in a wonderful location. The decor and appointments are really lovely. The kitchen had everything we could need and the large dining table provided more than ample space for our group of 6. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large with lots of storage. There are several comfortable areas to gather both inside and out.
We were blessed with gorgeous weather and all the spectacular colour of the autumn season. We couldn’t have asked for a better week. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Driftwood Hideaway.

We had a wonderful time in this spacious and beautiful cottage. There was lots of room for everyone to have their own comfy bed with the kids of course in the bunk bed room. Having three bathrooms was also a treat. The downstairs area with games and play space was perfect for the kids. The extra kitchen was a perfect work space for one guest who had to work one day. The upstairs kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes etc and every appliance you’d need. The view is stunning. The zip line is so fun. The 20 minute drive to the ski hill was great. We had a wonderful stay.
