Hotel Chatini Mestia

Charming boutique hotel, well decorated, comfortable, with a lovely staff. Surrounded by cafés and restaurants, and very close to central Kutaisi.

The view wasn’t great.

Located behind the main street in Mestia. Room pretty clean, we waited 20 mins to get the room (maybe because we didn’t told them exactly when we arrive). WiFi not working when we were there but ok for us. And fantastic breakfast cooked by an old lady!

It is a family managed hotel, with abundant breakfast and perfect location (in the city center but in a secondary street which is very calm), staff is friendly (although only one person speaks english)

Facilities still need some refinement here and there, rooms are smaller than what it seems in pictures, there is no shower curtains (although we understand that is pretty common in Mestia), abat jours would be needed in rooms as it is difficult to read at night only with the central light. Mountain view is also something you only truly get from a couple of rooms. Laundry is a bit expensive (20 Gel)

1. They didn’t take visa/mastercard, so I had to take some cash. I withdraw cash, and paid in the check-in day later, but they called me after check out and said that I have to pay for the room. Well, that’s pretty upsetting situation. Thats super weird in case that I spend there 2 night and checked out in the early morning and no one was at reception. 2. While check-in no one explained about the breakfast and where the dining room located, so I had to found it myself next day 3. There was no wardrobe in a Superior room, no clothes hangers, only a rack for towels which is super weird either. I can not recommend this place, it has a good rate on booking but there are plenty of hotels in Mestia with a better service and accommodation conditions.
