Charming house - center St Hilaire de Riez

We chose this holiday home because of the very good reviews given by previous residents. And yes, it is a nice holiday home located in a quiet area (but don't be bothered by the neighbor's chickens). The house is neatly furnished and the colors of the walls, interior, crockery and even the Senseo machine are coordinated. Contact with the owner was pleasant and smooth. When we wanted to book an additional two nights, the owner was very helpful in making this happen. However, some negative points should not go unmentioned. The exterior contrasts greatly with the well-kept interior, overdue maintenance in the garden (photos are from better times), the barbecue outside is ready for the old hardware store but no longer belongs here, there is not enough space to store your clothes especially if you are with more than 2 people, we first had to clean out the garage to be able to store our bicycles here (there are far too many toys and other things that are not interesting for the tenant), a chest of drawers full of DVDs is also a bit too much of a good thing. The description of the house does not correspond to reality: no iron or ironing board found. Ski slopes next door? There is still some work to be done here. What is really outdated: No WIFI. Ok, we should have noticed that ourselves, but still. We had a nice holiday in this house, but it is time to put the finishing touches on the i's and cross the t's again.
