A nice interesting cottage with a character

Lovely space to base ourselves while we explored the area. Peter was a wealth of information and made us feel very welcome. Bed was comfortable and all basic needs were met. Will stay again if ever back in Castlemaine.

A very homely spot to spend the night, and the garden space was very cool to walk around and observe the craftsmanship displayed in the stonemasonry techniques applied over the years by the owner regarding the walls and archways.The local magpie gang chortled to their hearts content and thankfully they weren't the swooping type and came in close for a hello in the morning Definitely thankful for the split system air conditioning unit at his time of year, was a very frigid weekend if weather around the region, so keeping warm overnight was a great relief fom the elements outside!Only downside was the evening warfare against an army of blowflies that seemed to spawn out of thing air and quickly amassed again in the morning!Not quite sure where they came from Peter, the owner, was kind and hospitable despite fighting off a fever and welcomed us to explore the yard and offered to help with any questions we had for he duration of our short stay!
