Casa Vacanza Verde Smeraldo- (San Montano)

You enter this apartment, you immediately relax and smile. The decor surpasses normal rentals and there's Netflix so your kids can relax a night watching something it their language. The location was perfect and what a great view, also you can watch your family swim just in front of you, there's a couple of sun loungers you can take down.. There's a small town in walking distance, to pick up supplies or eat out. We should have stayed more days and would love to come again. 😊👍

* The peace and tranquility of the area. However, even this was disturbed on our first evening (Saturday) with extremely loud club music coming from somewhere. * Spacious property with nice terrace looking out on to the sea.

* The location is at the bottom a very long steep hill. A car is essential. * No elevator - From arrival at the apartment block in the car park, you have to descend c. 50 steps which is very difficult/exhausting if you have heavy luggage. You descend into the dark. * Rain ingressing into the lounge! - It rained a lot during the first 3-4 days (big storms!) and the rain came into the lounge from above the terrace doors. We had to put 4 buckets/bowls to catch the rain and we didn't appreciate having to listen to the constant 'drip-drip-drop' of the rain in the buckets day after day. The property should not be rented out as a holiday apartment with such a fundamental maintenance issue until it is repaired. * Plumbing - We also had minor ingressions of water in the kitchen and bathroom which seem to be related to the overlow system(?); i.e. it only seemed to be able to cope with a certain amount of water being discharged. * At £320 per night, we felt it was very poor value for money, especially because of having to deal with the rain ingressing into the lounge. The week after our stay, the property was available for £139 p.n. * Fridge-freezer is old with an ineffective door seal causing the fridge to over-work and over-condense, making items in the fridge wet. * The property would benefit from having a microwave oven. * The property description advertises a 'bar'. There is a bar a short walk along the beach, but it was closed. Maybe it's only open in the high season? * Access to the beach was locked for 4 of our days. Apparently this was because of the weather (even when it had stopped raining!). * The locks to the terrace doors do not work. * We notice that a previous guest had the benefit of cookies and Prosecco and water in the fridge, even though they stayed just 1 night. No such thing for us, even though we paid for 8 nights!
