Excellent breakfast and service

There comes a great breakfast with the reservation -- if you choose the option. The location is excellent if you need to go to Tokyo University and it is still only about 15 min to walk to the TExpress Kashiwa Campus Stn.

I regularly go there when I have meetings at the nearby university. It's a great hotel.

The room was typical of the three single size hotel rooms common for Japan I've stayed in, but the bed was comfortable and there was a bench seat, table, small microwave and refrigerator and safe. In the small refrigerator there’s room to hold a 2-liter water bottle and there was space in the door for smaller drink bottles the size of soda cans, and one gets two free cans of mineral water included. The cleaning or desk staff would give additional waters if asked. The restaurant is open for buffet breakfast and the lounge on the second floor only offers free coffee, teas and hot chocolate and there's library staff in the lounge. Of the three hotels I stayed at in Japan this hotel had the best food for the cost, which was only about 1,400 Yen per each all-you-can-eat meal. There was a fine variety of Japanese and American style breakfast foods, fresh bread/pastries, coffee hot or cold, teas and juices. It has the typical Japanese bathroom with deep bath style tub, toilet with heated seat and bidet built in. The water came out hot for the shower almost instantaneously. It was very clean. There’s a HDTV with many options for people to connect with their streaming services like Hulu, Amazon etc. There’s a 7-Eleven attached to the hotel that closes at 10:00 pm. There are two buses that go to the Kashiwa Station, 3 and 4. To get to the hotel from Kashiwa Station one would take the 4 bus, which will drop you across the street from the hotel. Most of the staff don’t speak English fluently, but they are very friendly. They can provide directions to various locations. My room on the eight floor had a view of the parking lot and some building that was under construction in the back. I think if someone had a room at the front of the hotel they might be able to see the ballpark across the street. It's a quiet location. The cost of the hotel was less than $100 USD per night including breakfast.

What I didn't like was this hotel is in a very secluded location, and it's not in walking distance to the subway or other main attractions in Tokyo city. However, it is a great location if one is coming to see the Japanese baseball team that plays across the street from the hotel, because one would be in walking distance from the ballpark. The reason why I stayed at here is my friend likes to stay here, so it was convenient for both of us to meet for breakfast and make trips together, but trip into Tokyo required longer subway trip as a result, which was the biggest downside. I wish more of the hotel staff, especially those working the front desk spoke better English.
