V105 Villa SIllot

3rd time staying here, great view, very private etc, lovely balcony. Quiet.

Creaky double bed every time you move! Been like this each visit. Main Shower leaks onto floor when using.

The Menorca Rentals office was easy to get to and we didn’t have to wait long for the villa keys. This is a lovely villa, in a good location with lovely views of the sea and a small supermarket just up the road. There is a larger fridge freezer that’s clean and works well. There is plenty of storage in each bedroom with plenty of coat hangers too. There’s two tables and chairs to sit out on the veranda with a built in BBQ. The garden is very pretty and private with 4 quality sun beds by decent sized deep pool. The WiFi was good and met our needs. The villa is clean and you get a change of towels with maid service mid week. The sofa and arm chairs are clean and comfortable. There were enough toilet rolls provided for our entire stay. I would rate this villa good, but could be excellent with a few improvements.

The metal bed in the master bedroom creaked every time you moves and the mattress wasn’t comfortable for us. The beds with iron head rails would knock against the wall, so you couldn’t comfortably sit up in bed. Some of the bed pillows smelled a bit musty. The shower in the large bathroom leaks a lot of water onto the bathroom floor. There is no fire extinguisher or smoke alarms and the fire blanket is tucked away in a cupboard without easy reach. The pool doesn’t have depth markers, so caution is needed. We felt there could have been a villa folder with things like instructions of how to use the dishwasher, washing machine and cooker like some other rentals provide. Food seemed to take a long time to cook on the hot plates and we felt the kitchen could have been better equipped with cooking utensils. There are no cleaning products provided apart from a complimentary washing up sponge and cloth, so you will need to supply your own. We used the washing machine, but unfortunately, the plastic strips inside the drum had been removed (we found out later) and a sharp piece of metal inside the drum tore some of our clothes in the washing machine. There were no table mats or coasters for the dining table.
