BURN BAN EFFECTIVE - Gillespie County Burn Ban is ON, effective October 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM.: Attached please find a local DECLARATION OF DISASTER & ORDER RESTRICTING OUTDOOR BURNING related to imminent threat of wildfires. Restrictions: NO open fires/burning and NO smoking.
As a result, outdoor wood-burning fire pits are NOT permitted. This mandate is enforced by the city and county and is beyond our control. You are welcome to use Gas fire pits and BBQ grills, if applicable. For charcoal grills, please leave all hot coals in the grill to cool completely, we will handle proper disposal. Unit was nicely decorated. Bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve had at any VRBO that we have stayed in!Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Favorites - Granite House (dinner), Sunset’s (breakfast), Cultures (sports bar).

The pictures look great but is much smaller and much less to the “amenities” you get. Basically a hotel room with a small hot tub and a back porch. With the extra fees, it’s an ok stay - very good for the location.
