This place was very clean and very accessible to shops and restaurants by walking.

Nothing, everything was excellent.

The owner of the property was in constant communication with me a few days before our arrival. It was a refreshing knowing she cared enough to reach out and ask questions about when we would arrive, then suggested what paths we should take from the ferry terminal. She warned us about the professional cycling race passing through the town's center around the time of our arrival. She even asked what kind of pillows we preferred when sleeping. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even prior to our arrival! We planned our stay in Salerno as an opportunity to regroup from our travels through the Amalfi Coast and then head off to Florence and Tuscany. Yet, Salerno quickly became one our favorite destinations, in part because the home we stay in. This beautifully appointed flat was equipped with eveything one would desire in a primary residence, yet we were in a vacation rental! Having a gas cooktop allowed us to buy food from nearby markets and just enjoy dinner in the flat. The bed was comfortable, the main bath was fresh and smartly designed. In fact, the entire place looked great and had a very good feeling to it. The apartment building was secure and even boasted an elevator. The immediate location offered a couple of small restaurants and convenience stores, but just a few blocks in any direction you have access to shops, more restaurants, historic sites, the city's performance center and the treelined boardwalk along the ocean front. We are thankful we were able to enjoy such a beautiful flat in a vibrant city with a locals vibe.
