A bit hard to find

Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and laundry were very good and the view and location was excellent.

The furniture indoors was worn out and not comfortable. 4 dining chairs for 5 guests is not enough.The outdoor table looked like it was going to fall apart.

The view is second to none, from the lounge and the deck outside. The whole place is bright and breezy and has that old fashioned "beach shack" feel which is very relaxing. Very easy to get into town but you feel like you're away from everyone.

We've stayed there 3 times over the past few years. It feels a bit like the place is starting to get a tad run down. Spending some time and money on painting and cleaning and upgrading some of the appliances and furniture would go a long way.

The view from the property was stunning.

The code to enter was incorrect so needed someone to come and provide the correct code. The property does not have wifi (admittedly this was stated in the description) which in 2025 is poor. The dishwasher didn't heat so could not be used. It was a very old unit and clearly in need of replacement. The outdoor table is well past its use by date and is showing signs of rotting. The inside lounge was so uncomfortable and wasn't suitable for use. The property itself is not child friendly and there were no barriers around the decking so a child would easily fall off it. The main bed was most uncomfortable and squeaked with the slightest movement making sleep most uncomfortable. The host wasn't very welcoming and did not respond to questions emailed prior to arrival. Attention to detail is sadly lacking as evidenced by most pantry supplies out of date with expired dates past 2-3years. These items should be removed altogether but doubt they ever get checked. The property whilst well located, is tired and in need of a makeover with the exception of the bathrooms which appear recently modernised. Great location and special views however not value for money as it is an overpriced rental. The owners need to invest in the property to bring it up to an acceptable level.
