Location is wonderful! The pools and lazy river are incredible. Staff is great too
Needs to be updated and renovated. The door and door trims needing cleaning and painting. Updated pictures in the bathroom would be an improvement. Also there were hairs and one toilet that I had to clean myself before “moving in”.

The room was nice and the patio view of the pool was great. The pools are all kept clean and light up really pretty at night. Also it was right next to the Island resort which was nice to walk to and enjoy their beach bar and food huts. The grounds were very well kept at Destin West.
The palm trees blocked the view of the ocean from our balcony. No music playing like most resorts have. No activities for kids or families such as s'more night, music, movie night on the beach etc. But you can walk to the Island and use their amenities. They are getting strict with using their pool though.
