Slow down at The Hayloft, a spacious, stylish retreat above a detached oak-framed barn in peaceful South Oxfordshire.
Rustic character meets thoughtful comfort, with a king-size bed, inviting leather sofa and a well-equipped kitchen. Enjoy leisurely meals, countryside walks and evenings at a nearby village pub.
A welcome basket of breakfast essentials makes settling in easy. Perfect for a romantic weekend, quality time with friends (two legged and four legged!) or a longer countryside escape.
Lovingly renovated by us, The Hayloft combines rustic character with stylish interiors and generous space to unwind. It’s an inviting retreat for couples or friends looking to slow down, enjoy the countryside and spend quality time together.
The spacious bedroom offers a comfortable king-size bed, while the bright ensuite has a roomy shower. For guests who prefer separate beds or for a third guest there is an additional single bed.
Settle into the comfortable leather sofa or chair for an evening in front of the Smart TV, or enjoy a quiet morning with coffee and a good book. There’s also excellent Wi-Fi and a stylish writing desk should you need to catch up on work.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a two-ring hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher — everything you need for leisurely breakfasts or dinner for two. To help you settle in, we provide a welcome basket with eggs, bread, butter, milk, jams, tea and coffee.
Outside, you’ll find a small patio area and ample parking.
There are lovely countryside walks nearby, and we provide maps and suggestions when you arrive in our welcome book. For a relaxed drink or pub supper just a walk away, visit Home Sweet Home in Roke or The Chequers in neighbouring Berrick Salome. Please do check opening hours though as opening times vary.
Nearby Benson offers cafés, shops and everyday essentials, while picturesque Warborough is another lovely village to explore. Oxford is within easy reach, with Park and Ride making a day in the city straightforward.
Well behaved dogs are welcome too but we do ask that dogs are never left alone in The Hayloft and that you vacuum any dog hair before departure.

Really peaceful and relaxing place to unwind. Very clean, well equipped. Good communication with host.Lots of places nearby to eat - though do check days they are open. Would definitely stay again.

Really lovely property in a quiet Location. Check in process & communication with owner was great. A few places to eat in walking distance although as it was a Sunday they had stopped serving food early so we were glad for the bread & eggs that had been supplied in the property. We were told nowhere local to buy any groceries. We would really recommend a stay & were sorry it was not for longer.

We loved staying in The Hayloft. It was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and equipped with all you would need for a peaceful getaway.The instructions for arrival and departure were crystal clear and the visitors manual was thoughtfully detailed with numerous recommendations for places to visit, places to eat, walks, etc.The area is incredibly pretty and very quiet.The local pub is stunning and characterful, with friendly staff. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and look forward to staying there again in the near future.
