Mariella Sea

This lovely villa was perfectly located for our teenagers to wander to the beach and to the corner shop about 100m away independently. It turned out to be the same house I had walked past many years before and admired - covered in lovely bouganvillea flowers. the outside space was great, with plenty of shade to sit at the table or lounge on the sofas. We didn't seem to have much of a problem with mosquitoes but there are screens on all the doors should you wish to use them. The facilities are good and fairly modern. The villa is quite 'Greek' and homely in style, rather than a shiny international, curated experience but we loved that. It's close to the centre of the resort but is relatively quiet and has some nice back streets you can wander around. Close to the outdoor cinema but couldn't hear it at all - we recommend a visit to that. Also very close is a pharmacy and a small shop for snacks/ice creams/inflatable rubber rings etc. Also a couple of nice, more traditional restaurants suitable for families with kids away from the more crowded town centre ones. Useful to know is that it's easy to take the bus from the port to get here - the bus stopped just for us and dropped us at the bottom of the road, about 30m from the villa. We did do a return to the port by taxi as the stop for the return journey is much further away up a hill.

Nothing really. Would happily stay here again. Of note (and this is not related to the accommodation but is worth knowing) is that the beach closest to this end of town has been affected by the construction of a large pier at the other end of the bay. I last came to Batsi about 15 years ago and the low key, 'free' no-sunbed area of the beach by the house was at that time much bigger. The beach is now very 'skinny' as sand is being washed away due to changes in water movements created by the presence of the pier, and there is now bedrock to walk over in order to get out to the sandy bottom beyond. None of this put us off and it was still big enough in July to accommodate everyone and one massive bonus is that the wall behind shelters you from the strong Meltemi winds.

La maison est magnifique, très confortable, super bien localisée (commerces, plage, restaurants). Nous avons été très bien accueillis, communication très facile avec la personne de contact sur place.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus, aircon in jedem Zimmer, wunderbare Terrasse sowohl zum Essen, als auch zum gemütlichen Sitzen in Lounge Möbeln.Die Dachterrasse ist so schön, um am Abend noch ein Glas Wein zu trinken. Wir haben die Waschmaschine genutzt . Die Nähe zum Strand hat uns ermöglicht direkt morgens zu schwimmen. EIN Parkplatz ist direkt vor dem Haus. Fußläufig ist der Ortskern von Batsi sehr schnell zu erreichen. Es gibt sehr gute Tavernen und Restaurants. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Kommen natürlich wieder
