I stayed here with my wife, and I’ll start with the bad news: from day one, things went wrong. According to reception, the boiler was broken, so we had no hot water for a whole day; just as they’d fixed it, the ‘city’ cut off all the water for another day. Out of our three-day stay, two were ruined – we couldn’t wash or shave. On the plus side: yes, the hotel tried to make up for the inconvenience with a restaurant voucher. And the best thing is the location. It’s in the heart of the tourist district, and practically in the centre of Tbilisi. You can walk to all the sights; the theatres are literally ‘just round the corner’, and there’s a lovely restaurant with a summer terrace – which, by the way, is a sight in itself; everyone takes photos of it.

We loved the art in the hotel as well as spacious rooms and bathrooms. One of the rooms we had was over the courtyard that had it’s own balcony and gave you the feel of the Georgian architect. We loved that the breakfast was also open until 1pm which allowed us to sleep in and still be able to grab a bite. They had ala carte options for breakfast which was really filling. Staff was also very friendly and accommodating. They answered all our questions and provided adaptors when ours didn’t work as well as sharing suggestions for food and activities in the area.
Also loved that bathrooms had bidets 🙌🏽
