Good stay with welcome my hosts

Friendly hosts. Facilities are very new and clean. Clean room every day. Close to beach and tavernas/restaurants, bus routes etc

Agree about the pool music. Seemed loud at times, even when no one was there…Also, always house music with a bass line. A bit of chilled/more relaxing music wouldn’t go a miss…and maybe turn it off at 6? Otherwise all good.

A good basis

Quiet location, nicely renovated room, the choice between the classic thick pillow and the usable thin one was amazing ;-)

Just add equipment to the kitchenette, strengthen the wifi network, fine-tune the location of the room antenna (it was sensitive to the movement of people).

Absolutely loved it!

Can absolutely recommend this property. It was clean, great sea view, just a few steps to beach and groceries/restaurants, quiet area, and bus stops. Homeowner are lovely and always present. They told us about big plans for the future and we’re happy to come back next (next) year.

Kitchen needs a little bit more equipment. It’s not possible to cook or wash dishes. A little bit loud in the morning (after 8 am). But to be honest all in one we can absolutely recommend this property and think in 2024 this property will be 100% perfect. So 10/10!

Terribly Disappointed

There is nice restaurant(Murelo) close to the accomodation location, a few minutes walking distance.

Very disappointed: -The front door could not be opened full, and the balcon door is extremely squeaky. -Awful smell from rubbish bins from outside. -We stayed in room number 10. The bathroom is recently renovated,BUT shower cabin has a blocked sewage drain(photo attached) -Don't waste your money!We stayed there for 3 days and we regret a lot.

Beautiful rooms with great position.

New rooms coloured with Beautiful greek style. Our room was very clean, with all we need like smart tv, wifi, kitchen, and climate air and other daily services of the bathroom. The owner was very kind and also the other of the staff. The position is very good with beach, sea, markets and restaurants at 2 minutes of walking. Very near the airport. I recommend this structure. !!!

Comfortable apartment with a favorable location, very nice hosts, and a good value for your money.

Spacious, comfortable and airconditioned apartment located near a very nice beach. The host and management team are very nice and approachable people. There is a bus stop nearby (bus ride from the airport took about 40 minutes to get there) and also several car rentals nearby so you can get around the island easily (about 15 min drive to the city center of Heraklion). The neighborhood is not so busy, but within a 10 min walk you can get to a more populous area.

- the airconditioning was in the living room, therefore it takes a while before the bed room cools down - the wifi signal was decent, but reception in the bed room was somewhat bad

Property is near the Ammoudara beach, it’s almost the end of the beach and has some cold currents but it’s like 5 minute walk from property, and it’s nice for hot weather when you have refreshing place to swim. it’s situated on a walkable distance from tourist attractions which is nice because the place is quiet, although 10 minutes and you can easily reach small markets to buy food or bar or another place where you can eat.

WIFI sometimes have weak signal. Small kitchenette have fridge and sink but no microwave nor cooktop.

Lovely, comfortable stay in a great location in Ammoudara

The location was lovely and quiet, yet a convenient walk to the supermarket, shops and town. It was just a 2 minute walk to a beautiful part of the beach. The rooms were well equipped, clean and quiet with a nice balcony. Maria and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room is quite big and very nice, the furniture from the room and from the bathroom are new. The room and the sheets were cleaned, except from the toiled. The girl from reception is very nice, she helped us with printing the tickets we need for the flight. Also the owner is very nice and helpful.

The area in front of the hotel is a little messy. Also we had a problem with the bathroom. It wasn't very clean, but the owner resolved the problem very quickly. Also when the shower is used , the pavement from the bathroom becomes full of water.

Modern and traditional

We stayed in Alkyonides for 6 Nights. Great Apartment, very short walk to centre of town. Very clean and spacious alternative to staying in a hotel and we saved money due to being able to prepare our own food when we wanted it . My apartment was very modern, clean and felt really homely. having a full Kitchen was fanctastic and parking and internet made the whole stay really easy and pleasurable. highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic accomodation

Fantastic owners, always happy to help me. Especially when i arrived very early they prepared the room for me before scheduled check in. Also the same for check out, I was allowed to stay little bit longer in my room, very accomodating people, which was a huge plus. Location is very close to the beach 2min walk, supermarkets and restaurants. I was very impressed with the room, i would easily give the accomodation 4* /5*hotel rating.

The internet could have been little faster, it was ok to watch netflix but would pause here and there. No swimming pool which i knew there wouldnt be one, it would be nice if in the future they put one in, i would love to come back with family and kids. I still would highly recommend this place and i am giving it 10/10.

Posizione vicino alla spiaggia. Piscina dove rifugiarsi nelle ultime ore della giornata con bar annesso. Bella camera spaziosa con vista su piscina. Personale molto cordiale. Possibilità di fare il bagno anche in acqua dolce e gelata. Piccolo fiume che sfocia nel mare in prossimità dell'alloggio con acqua limpidissima

La nostra stanza era al primo piano e per raggiungerla c'era una scala a chiocciola esterna non troppo agevole con le valigie

Strandnahe Unterkunft mit Pool

Die Unterkunft ist zu empfehlen. Wir waren im August 2025 hier und sind sehr zufrieden. Die Reinigungskraft kommt und wischt täglich das Zimmer. Es werden regelmäßig die Handtücher und Bettdecken getauscht. Solltet ihr doch mal einen extra Wunsch haben wird ohne wenn und aber sofort versucht es möglich zu machen. Die Unterkunft hat einen sehr sauberen und neu eingerichteten Poolbereich. Der Pool wird regelmäßig gesäubert von den Mitarbeitern. Die Kellnerinen sind sehr nett und sehr aufmerksam aber keinesfalls aufdringlich. Wir bekamen extra Handtücher für den Pool die auch regelmäßig getauscht wurden. An der Poolbar oder direkt auf der liege ist das Bestellen von kleinen Snacks so wie Getränke möglich. Der Standort ist optimal weil das Meer zu Fuß in nicht mal 5 min erreichbar ist. Am Strand sind einige Beach Clubs die Liegen mit Schirmen anbieten. Solltet ihr euch ein Getränk hier bestellen oder etwas Essen müsst ihr nicht mal etwas für die Liegen und den Schirm bezahlen!! Am Strand sind auch Duschen vorhanden. Auf der linken Seite steht ein Imbisswagen wo man sich am Mittag schnell gut und günstig was zu Essen holen kann. Falls ihr euch selbst versorgen möchtet seit ihr auch super gut bedient. Der Lidl ist mit dem Mietwagen in 10min erreichbar. Für tägliche Einkäufe wie Brot und Snacks könnt ihr auch die Kiosks auf der Hauptstraße nutzen. Diese sind zu Fuß in 5min erreichbar.

Wir waren zu Viert im Zimmer und hatten nur 2 Stühle als wir das angesprochen haben wurden uns sofort welche gebracht. Es wurde eigentlich alles getan um uns zufrieden zu stellen.

Het personeel was echt super behulpzaam, super vriendelijk en super gezellig. Ze staan altijd klaar voor je en bij elk verzoek komen ze met een snelle en fijne oplossing. De kamer is ruim, schoon en de locatie was top!
