Colorful 2BD Apartment with Indoor Fireplace and Mountain View by Flat Mаnager

Very nice flat, cozy, warm, bright. 2 bedrooms as described, a little old furniture, but cozy. Always hot water with two bathrooms. Nice beds, confy, terrace is nice with a good view, coffee machine and all you need in the kitchen.

The Monastery hotel is just ill designed. First, there is parking space for around 1/5 of the people - even if you try to just unload the baggage, there is long list of cars waiting to do the same. There is a paid parking nearby, but it is 5-7m walking through the road and it is costs 10-15% of the room per nigh (BGN 35 per day). Even when I found a place to park in the Monastery, I got a rude call 8 am in the morning from the so called manager to move my car because he has saved these spots for one of the buildings and I am not allowed to park there - no such signs or else. He was actually moving his car to block some 10 spots for building number 3 with no such permission - very rude and uncomfortable person. Second, the Monastery hotel is designed with an escalator, no elevator and 5 floors of staircases. When you are going up, there is an escalator. When you are going down, there are only stairs. Definitely, not comfortable for old people or such with disabilities. When you are moving out, all the luggage needs to be moved by hand through the staircases... Restaurant is really low quality, high price. Lastly, to get to the slopes, you need to walk through the whole hotel, no shortcut. So from this apartment, you go 2 floors down, walk to the middle of the hotel, go to the right side, 2 floors up and then you can reach the slopes - again, ill designed, bad execution.

The only thing that was not clear was that the pool was closed /which I guess was not the apartment owner's fault/, so we had to go elsewhere.

The apartment decoration is nice. It is equipped with an oven and espresso machine. The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is excellent.

1) Parking 2) To much walking distance from reception to the apartment. On the parking: Grand Manastira apartment complex is very large. The parking is very small. On the apartment description it is said that "private parking is available on site". To be honest "it is not available at all". Private parking is full. You have to park your car at a public parking, which does not have a security during night time. The parking is 500m away from the complex. On the walking around the complex: the apartment is located at 3rd level of the complex. There no elevators. You can use escalators to reach your level (5 escalators) going up right to the top. Going down you have stairs (I don't count them, but be prepare for a walk). After you reach your level there is further walking to reach the apartment. There is also a lot walking in the complex to reach the ski slopes (two floors down, huge coridor, two floor up and 30-40m outside on a slippery walk). As the main purpose of my vacation is skiing, one can imagine that I have to carry a lot of luggage for me and my family (3 pairs of skis, 3 ski bags, 2 bags with clothes, 2 bags with laptops and 1 bag of food and drinks). All of which you have to carry by yourself through 500m from parking to the complex, 5 floor up, 50m long corridor with no elevators and of course on the way back through the stairs. To recap: if you are not a heavy lifter or mountain climber, bring NO luggage with you and cross your fingers to find your car where you left it for the night.
