It suited our family group brilliantly, superb location, spacious for a Cotswold town house. Very well supplied, from kitchen equipment to bedroom needs - loads of loo rolls, tissues etc. it made coming from overseas so much easier in the fact that we did not need to buy loads of supplies. A pretty secluded small Sun-trap of a garden. A very efficient wood-burning stove, which again was fully supplied for our needs.
Special praise for Rosie, the house keeper - we were informed that the washing machine had broken just before our arrival, and since we had travelled with just carry-on luggage that was going to be a problem! Rosie did washing for four of us… going above and beyond.
Only improvements which are minor, would be to have some synthetic pillows as well as the feather ones and a sieve in the kitchen.

We had a most enjoyable family stay here for the New Year and a lovely memorable way to celebrate a 1st birthday. The location is just fabulous, walking distance of all that Stow has to offer and right next door to a must visit The Old Butchers (booking advised!) The house itself is very tastefully done and with most rooms having an en-suite perfect for our family couples, enabling everyone to have their own space.
We found the kitchen facilities to be excellent and provided sufficient equipment and utensils to cater for a large groups. Often this can be the thing that lets a place down but Stow House exceeded expectations and had some high-spec NEF appliances which we would all love to have now in our own homes!
The only things that could be improved and would make it a 10/10 would be if:
- There was a downstairs toilet - not the end of the world as everyone could go to their own rooms.
- If the instructions were updated to not include front door keys as these are no longer available to guests and made it slightly confusing and question if something had been lost or taken by the previous guests.
- The upstairs shower and bath were made more functional and practical. Having the shower and bath in the bedroom is not to everyone's taste, though it does make for something different. Unfortunately its not the best design and the water leaks out of the shower all over the floor with no lips or rims on the shower surround. The bath taps also drip water on the floor and when moving to sit up or lie down in the bath you are likely to accidentally open the push down plug hole and let water out which is both wasteful and frustrating.
