Great location with view Nile. Very quiet. Wonderful environment.

Food could be improved. Staff need to be trained, slow service.

We had booked a family room but we were upgraded to a cottage for no extra cost. The cottage was perfect and had a beautiful view of River Nile right from our bed. Perfect room and views!

location and view are absolutely stunning, unfortunately that is not enough to justify the hefty price staff is nice and attentive

the place is pretty run down, not up to the standard for that pricing. just a few examples; the toilet actually flushes about 1 in 4 times, the mosquito net is full of holes, there is no sound insulation whatsoever, the towels are so rough they reminded me my grandma's (not in a good way). there are massive dogs everywhere! it would have been nice to let guests know that the place is basically owned by massive dogs... I personally really don't like dogs, especially large ones so wouldn't have booked had I known. they roam freely, sit everywhere and sometimes kept me awake with barking/howling.. once again, the staff was amazing in trying to keep them away from me as they noticed my discomfort. can't say the same about the owner who simply watched me painfully trying to get away from a black mastiff trying to smell and lick me and kept saying "he's like a police dog, he has to check everything". well, this might be my own limit but I don't want to hang with police dogs at a resort where I'm supposed to relax! the restaurant is outrageously expensive. I was billed 18$ for a sub par tiny piece of Nile perch with mashed potatoes and two pieces of zucchini. for reference, I had the same exact dish (just tastier) elsewhere in Jinja and was charged 9.5$ including a beer. at 135$ per night, I expect my room to be cleaned daily and to be provided with complimentary water. that was not the case and I had to ask the cleaner to please make my bed. she was super nice and did it immediately, but left me wondering why she was confused about my request and was not instructed that way by the manager. overall, not a terrible place if you forget about the price. if you consider the price, then it truly is a disappointment.
