About this house rental
In the heart of the Somme Bay, we welcome you to this charming family home.
Just 2 hours from Paris and Lille, and 3 hours from Brussels—accessible by car or train—this is the ideal place to recharge your batteries with family or friends.
Exceptional landscapes managed sustainably, vast expanses of nature and open space, and rare biodiversity: a region rich in discoveries and activities awaits you.
Just a few kilometers from the sea, a breath of fresh air is guaranteed!
Accommodation
Welcome to this family home, built in 1882. Originally the village café, over the years it has become a comfortable home where you can relax and spend time with family or friends at your own pace.
On the first floor, you’ll find a spacious kitchen that can accommodate a large gathering of guests and is perfect for preparing meals where everyone can come together and chat.
A lounge area with a fireplace and TV, along with a very large, cozy living room, also invite you to relax or enjoy conversations at the start and end of the evening.
On the first floor, there are three double bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. You’ll find two 13-square-meter bedrooms and one 26-square-meter bedroom. All bedding is new and high-quality, and the beds are queen-size.
On the second floor, you’ll find a large dormitory that can accommodate 9 people, complete with its own bathroom.
Finally, an annex to the house, which can accommodate 2 to 4 people and also has a bathroom, is available. Its mezzanine bedroom is not recommended for people with limited mobility or young children, but it’s perfect for lovers of beautiful exposed beams! It features a queen-size bed and a high-quality sofa bed.
And to make the most of the warm sunshine, you can enjoy your meals in the outdoor kitchen located in the property’s former barn, which opens onto the outdoors.
Finally, the private heated pool (May through September) promises plenty of fun for the whole family, whether you’re taking a dip or sipping a cocktail on the lounge chairs!
The beds will be made upon your arrival, and we provide bath linens. Cleaning fees are included in our rate.

The hosts were very helpful, providing more for us in the hite than we anticipated. Throughout the week they were everso helpful in responding to our enquiries.
The gite was well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. A highly recommended stay.

We went to Gaston-en-baie to celebrate my wife's birthday, and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.
The property is lovely; old and full of character, with original brickwork and creeky wooden floors. This is exactly what we were looking for, and it didn't disappoint.
The bedrooms are all lovely and spacious, but there is a lack of wardrobes in some. So if you have a lot of items that need hanging you may need to share.
The garden is lovely, the swimming pool great to cool off during or after a hot day. And the covered bbq area is brilliant: we spent almost every evening sitting out there eating, drinking, and chilling. Although we did use a lot of citronella candles and insect repellent, but it was worth it.
For anyone who wants a comfortable, relaxing break in a traditional French house/gite, I would highly recommend this place.

This is a real gem of a holiday property. The property is located in a quiet village, about 10mins drive away from Rue (with supermarkets, bakeries etc). The property is very smart and tastefully decorated, and also had everything we needed in terms of equipment. We really enjoyed the outside covered area with dining table, sofas and bbq, and spent most of our time out there. The hosts were excellent, responding to queries and helping us to explore the area.
