The communication with the owner was just fine. She seems like a very nice lady. We knew that it is in an old villa and we can expect certain rustic vibe. The problem is not the house itself but rather the equipment and furniture. I would personally recommend to go with some simple style. Just proper beds and mattresses, bedside table and lamps. The closets, where you can put your clothes away. The kitchen is small but I think with a bit of an improvement it would be ok. The bathroom is the biggest issue because the shower is very old, it definitely needs replacement and it is difficult to get in and out if you have some mobility issues. The apartment needs serious deep clean. The road to the house is in a quite frequent road, so be careful.
I am quite sure that the improvement and modernization are needed otherwise the apartment rental will be taken down by booking.com.
