Getaway Cabin

Very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated with everything we needed! Congratulations conveniently located!

Overall, the cabin is in good condition, things were generally clean with a few exceptions: a few rooms had a lot of spider friends congregating in corners and around baseboards. The outdoor furniture and 2nd floor deck have not been cleaned or wiped down in some time, I had to clean off seats I wanted to sit on. The hot tub was sparkling clean inside and kept temp nicely. No overwhelming chlorine or hot tub funk at all. If you hop in at night, you can see the stars overhead. The hot tub is fully visible from the street, and partially visible to a few neighboring cabins. I wasn’t bothered by it and still enjoyed it. The kitchen is on the first floor and is well-appointed and had pretty much any tool or pot we needed. They didn’t have aluminum foil or plastic wrap, which isn’t expected, but is a good reminder to bring your own. The propane grill is just outside the kitchen and is a newer model and works great. The living room is on the second floor, which feels a little weird being separated from the kitchen, but you get used to it. The space is very comfortable. The first floor bed is very comfortable and pillows are fantastic. My only gripe of this bedroom is there isn’t really any space or storage for your bags/clothes. There’s a closet, but it’s full of extra bedding and guest bathrobes. The second floor queen bedroom was also comfortable with a good bed and pillows. We did not use the bunk bed room. Our two dogs were very comfortable.

Cozy spot, clean and comfortable, worked well for our family of 5. Hot tub is nice & hot which isn't always the case so that was a plus! We appreciated the ability to bring our pup and it's easy to go for a nice walk through the Mt Baker Rim development. Be aware that if you plan to ski on the day you check out you'll have to double back to Maple Falls first to drop off the key before you head for the mountain. Since we were on the fence about another ski day anyway, that was one reason we decided not to. Mysteriously, no tea kettle provided--in a spot where hot cocoa is almost an essential! hope the owners see this and add an electric kettle or at the very least a stovetop one.

Keys were dropped off at the office in Glacier. No drop box. Keys & fob left under the office door mat. Nice place, but there is an ant infestation
