    The staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was lovely except 'city view' is more just a view of the buildings directly behind the hotel and a bit of an eye sore. Had this been made obvious on booking, we would have paid extra for a sea room. Food was delicious however my husband got food poisoning (I think from the blue cheese) so this made us a bit wary. I was also disappointed that there was a coffee machine in the room but when I asked for tea, I was charged $8!! Despite the above, I would stay again. Location was beautiful and hotel was stunning

    Excellent location to explore the city and enjoy the beach. Great facilities, quiet, very nice rooms. The staff is exceptional. The hotel has a very good restaurant on the second floor. We had dinner there 3 nights and we’re probably the best we had in Montevideo.

    We checked in at 2 am due to a late flight and were put in room *** - right next to the elevator. The bathroom smelled of sewage gasses and had an unacceptable level of mold. We were told that the hotel was fully booked and we could not change rooms until the next day. The next day, we were told the hotel was still full. After I showed the front desk the bathroom picture attached to this review, the hotel found another room on the 6th floor. It was a dramatic improvement and we were much happier until the last morning when the bartender "forgot" to make our espressos. Overall, the location is excellent, but we will not choose this hotel again if there are other options available. Not 5 star from either a facilities or service perspective.
