Hotel Santa Barbara Miyakojima Resort

We had a lot of room and used the kitchen very morning for breakfast. The JA farmers market is nearby and the location is a great central Point for getting around and close to the airport. It’s only a few minutes drive to a beach and the washing machine was very helpful with children. You can also buy a day pass to resorts so no need to pay high prices for a beach side hotel. Get out and explore! You can rent snorkeling equipment and games for very cheap. They were also running an Easter egg hide and seek while we were there which was fun for the kids!

There was a HUGE cockroach on our first day, and we spent nearly 30 minutes trying to kill it. There's a big field near the hotel, so I suppose bugs are inevitable, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. I would recommend staying for one or two nights maximum. We stayed four nights, but no extra towels were provided during the stay (though you could pay a small fee to get more towels). One of the perks of this place was the in-room washing machine, but honestly, the room was so humid that NONE of our clothes were fully dry even with the air conditioner and fan on full blast. All the clothes I washed on the trip were still a bit wet and I had to rewash everything back home.
