I personally thought this hotel was exactly what you should expect for the price. It’s not flashy, it’s practical. The room I had was basic but clean and comfortable. There isn’t a fridge full of overpriced drinks but there is a fridge you can fill up from the local supermarket. You get a Turkish breakfast, some mornings they brought it to you, other mornings it was a buffet. I think that depended on how busy they are. Dinner in the evening was the same process. The staff are friendly and helpful, they have limited English (or I had no Turkish) but managed to communicate effectively. Once you’re checked in they leave you alone, no pestering and no trying to sell you activity packages. Key point is you get what you pay for. If you the want luxury 5* hotel experience, don’t use this hotel but if you want cheap, friendly, and a good location, then this is the hotel to use.

Great location. Many local restaurants and accomodations near the hotel. One block away.
Great rooms. Great pool.
Outside a little bit of the tourist areas. Perfect because you feel the local vibe and the local prices. Just 10 min walk from the Ancient City attractions. Near the huge Saturday Market (Bazaar).

This hotel is located outside Old Side - not far from the Flying Horse.
There were a few issues:
The wifi was useless - off more than on.
The TV didn't work.
The shower holder was broken meaning you had to hold the shower head while washing.
The rooms were not cleaned as often as they should have been (twice in a week).
What really soured the week was the final day. I had planned to check out of my room, go for food, come back and sit by the pool until the transfer arrived.
I asked if I could use a towel and was abruptly told NO as I had checked out. I was still a guest even though I no longer had access to my room and was taken aback by this attitude and lack of customer service. I wasn't asking for much, just a towel.
Little things like this can spoil your experience so, no, I wouldn't stay here again.
