I would like to share my disappointing experience at this property, as it was significantly below expectations. I booked through Agoda and requested a baby cot, which was listed as an available option. Despite messaging the property four times to confirm, I received no response. Upon arrival, I was informed that they do not provide baby cots, and the receptionist could not explain why it was advertised. As I was traveling with a three-month-old infant and it was 6:00 p.m., a cot was essential. The receptionist was unhelpful and suggested I contact Agoda for a refund myself, despite my lack of a local phone number. I had to insist that he assist me in calling them, and I spent over an hour at the reception desk while receiving no compassionate support. Furthermore, the room was not clean, the building appeared unfinished, and the entrance was cluttered with boxes. There was no orientation regarding property amenities, such as laundry services, or instructions on how to access the building after hours. I also found the daily parking fee of 1,000 yen to be unreasonable, as parking has been complimentary at every other location I have visited in Japan. Given that this is my eighth trip to the country, this was the poorest level of customer service I have ever encountered, and it unfortunately marred my stay in Chatan.

Everything was great except for the washing machine. There wasn’t one in the room; the laundry facilities were near the front desk. It would have been better to have a washing machine in the room.

Very musty smell in the hallway. But the room was fine and large! Location was a bit of a walk in the heat to get to the American Village. The coffee shop next year was cute!
