This is the best hostel I've stayed at in awhile. Loved the following: - Fast, efficient check-in with some of the information captured in pre-online check-in - Excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms!! I arrived around the time of a summer heatwave and most places in France don't have air conditioning. - HUGE room space - Loved the curtain privacy, amenities in the bed space and the dimmable LED strip - The most spacious private bathroom I've ever seen in a hostel. The bath curtain sealed the water splash efficiently, there was enough space to change properly without feeling cramped and the face sink was roomy enough to layout toiletries. - There were zero odors lingering in the bathroom or room. This is because the extractor fans are strong, run continuously and the door was gapped to allow airflow. As an engineer, I appreciate a good design! - Loved that the breakfast had two payment options - A lite and a buffet. The lite option worked just perfect for me and the coffee was particularly excellent (bold/strong) Only mild couple areas to consider improving: - The drink prices were higher than typical budget-prices you'd pay at a hostel bar. - Do consider something in the doors to soften the bang from slamming. Not everyone is considerate to those sleeping.

It was a convenient place within a walking distance of the train station to catch a train the next day, and also within a walking distance from the vibrant port area. The room was convenient, but the A/C did not work nor could be fixed (the staff was helpless in this regard), so me and my family had a sleepless hot night. We opened the windows to try and cool down the room a bit, but there was street noise until 4am. In addition, the area of this hostel is dirty and not attractive. The only things we liked was the good vibe at this place, the nice interior court yard with tables and benches, and the breakfast options that were good and cheap.

The hostel is pretty nice: rooms seemed clean and facilities were nice. However, I had to get a low score for how I was treated a check-in. Receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. Also the terrace was closed with no explanations.

Stood here for one night to explore Marseille, it was a perfect location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great and quiet. The building gives you the feel you’re looking for and I love that you can rent lockers after checking out !

Although bathtowels need extra pay, hot water is not available in the shower rooms. There are neither soaps nor shampoos

I asked direction several times but they never provided that which tells they don't care for guest inquiry. It was an okay place to stay since people kept partying and shouting here until almost midnight. I complained to a man who was in the office and he did not care much that indicated he did not pay attention to guest rights. We also found a lady official who proved helpful.

Hostel is nice and clean. Bathroom is tiny. I am 5'7 130lb and bruised both my elbows trying to shower and brush my teeth. Facing the busy street was very hard to sleep at night especially with jet lag but for the price, it will do for a short stay.

room doors do not have slow close so people constantly slam them at all hours of the night. Room lockers for valuables do not fit a standard carry on rolling bag so your valuables will not be secure even if you have a lock. Finally, the cleaning staff were extremely rude and condescending upon checking in. Area is also not very nice and very loud, but can get to Old Port close by walking.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I was surprised with how clean and modern the room I stayed in was. The bathroom was tiny--I could comfortably wash my hands in the sink while sitting on the toilet--but I was grateful to have it in-room. Having an all-female dormitory option was great, too, as I think all hostels should have. The cleaning staff comes in daily and all of my interactions with them in the room or hallway were rather me smiling or saying bonjour and them just ignoring me, which was not typically what happens in other hotels I've stayed in.

Location of this place was good, walking distance to train station and to the waterfront. Property was mostly clean (floors were not that clean), the sleeping pods were function and well maintained. Wifi was also good. I just wished they had a bit more substantive kitchen instead of just a microwave and fridge.

Also a lively bar in the establishment where you can easily meet other people.This was my first time travelling alone, so I was naturally quite apprehensive at first but those worries were quickly set aside as this is an outstanding place to meet people from various cultures and languages, so that I quickly met friends there and arranged excursions/ nights out with them.The staff were also faultless, very good-vibes from all, and I appreciated that they tolerated my rubbish French skills, and contined to speak to me in French, as I asked them to avoid speaking to me in English as much as possible as I wanted to improve my French skills. :) I'm not normally one for leaving reviews, but felt the need to do so on this occasion. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff here. My only negative would be that after being in this incredible place, and city, my holiday has peaked to soon and all the other places I am visiting simply cannot compare! :)

Staff was amazing, only problem was that I tried to check in early, when I arrived, to keep my bottom bed, but the morning staff didn’t let me, to get back there later to find out they gave my bottom bed to another girl. Good thing the evening staff was super amazing and they fixed my problem. Other than that, everything else was perfect 💜
