    We had a great experience staying at Ouchi Hotel Dambara. The accommodation was spacious and maintained to a high standard. While the décor is a little older, everything was very clean, well cared for, and comfortable, fully meeting the standard we expect when staying in Japan. A big plus was that everyone had their own room, which made the stay far more comfortable and relaxing. One feature we particularly appreciated was the individually controlled air-conditioning in each room. This allowed us to close off rooms as needed — using one room for warming and drying clothes — while still remaining comfortable in the other rooms. It made the stay especially practical and flexible. The location was convenient, with a simple bus ride to Peace Park, making it easy to get around. One small point to note is that soundproofing could be improved, as some noise was audible in the mornings when other guests were leaving. Aside from that, the stay was excellent and very good value for money.

    The apartment has a good design and facilities, and was able to house us quite comfortably. Location was also good, and owner was friendly when we needed to contact them over some check-in details. Would stay again!

    We returned to Ouchi Hotel Dambara based on a previously very positive stay, however this second experience — in a different room — was disappointing. Unfortunately, this room was not clean, with visible stains on the lounge, carpet, and on the beds and pillows. This was immediately noticeable and quite shocking, particularly given the consistently high standard of cleanliness we usually experience when staying in Japan. It made the room feel uncomfortable rather than relaxing. Soundproofing was also an issue again, with noise carrying easily, especially in the mornings when other guests were leaving. This room was noticeably worse than the one we stayed in previously. It’s frustrating because the property clearly can provide a high-quality stay — our first visit proved that. However, the inconsistency between rooms, particularly in relation to cleanliness, makes the experience unreliable.
