The room size is impressive for Japan. Though the layout of the furniture is kind of baffling. Basically most of the outlets are blocked by the beds and the couch and there are no side tables near the outlets. So you’ll need to get a bit creative with how you charge your devices. The couch is also poorly positioned to watch the TV.
You can wash dishes but there isn’t really a practical way to dry them. The washer is good but the clothes drying system isn’t the most effective. But the shower / bath room is nice. For some reason there were only about 1.3 rolls of toilet paper when we arrived and no amenities closed with more. They also don’t clean at all during your stay.
You’re in for about a 12 minute walk to the station to do anything but the neighbourhood is nice and there are a bunch of restaurants and konbinis on the way.
The check-in option with a video call iPad is also kinda clunky. It was fine for us but I watched a British family struggling to explain to the attendant their passport problem.
It’s a decent option if you just need to stay a few days. It definitely felt spacious.

I am not tech savvy. But Grand Base made check in & check out so easy. I’m so happy with their hotel. Our room is roomy and very clean & new. There is washer and air & heat dry in the bathroom for your laundry. I love how you can shower and use the same space for air or heat dry for your clean laundry. What a great technology. We truly enjoyed this hotel. It is a bit walking from Hiroshima Station and away from tourist crowd. But very safe. Highly recommended!

This a fairly new , self serve hotel. It’s self check-in and checkout. No contact with anybody. It’s very clean, has all the essentials. Room had 2 comfortable queen beds, Japanese style. Bathroom was very nice and big. Kitchenette very small but enough to make tea or coffee and warm up food. The hotel doesn’t offer any tea or coffee you have to bring it. We enjoyed our stay. It was a 10 minute walk to the train station and 2-3 minutes to taxis or buses. I recommend it.

Everything is perfect except air conditioner is above our head when sleeping... so freezing wake in the morning with headache
