This was our second time checking in at Tagaytay Haven Hotel. Our first stay was amazing, which is why we decided to come back. During our first visit, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable—perfect for travelers like us who just wanted to relax and get some rest.
Unfortunately, our second experience was very disappointing. We stayed in Room 219, and the room was not properly cleaned. The bed had bedbugs, there were lizard droppings, and the comfort room was also dirty. After a long and tiring day, we were hoping for a clean, comfortable place to rest, but the condition of the room made our stay far from relaxing. We were already exhausted, so we decided to let it pass rather than make a complaint at the time.
Another disappointment was the service we received from Mr. Yel who assisted us during our late-afternoon check-in. We asked if we could upgrade our room, but our request was not accommodated. While he explained the hotel’s policy regarding online bookings, the way our concern was handled did not make us feel welcome or properly assisted. He was on his phone and stay seated while talking to us. Yes, he recommended booking through Agoda, which was also the platform we used for both our first and second stays, but apparently, no rooms were available.
We understand that hotel have policies to follow, but we believe that cleanliness, guest comfort, and good customer service should always be priorities.
It’s unfortunate that our second visit did not live up to our first experience. We came back because we had a good impression of the hotel, but this time, we left disappointed. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously, especially regarding room cleanliness, pest control, and staff training, so future guests can have a better experience.
A good first impression brought us back, but this second experience made us think twice about returning.

Ayos na ayos ang stay namin sa hotel na ito. Actually, I didn't expect too much kasi alam kong murang hotel lang ito pero when we arrived, I was surprised na maganda pala sya. I got this for only 1700 for 1 night dahil sa mga voucher and discount, standard room lang ang kinuha ko kasi tutulugan lang naman but ung room na binigay samin ay 1 double bed and 2 single bed. sobrang babait ng staff. even ung mga men na naglilinis, palabati din sila. sa presyo niya, sobrang sulit lalo na kung tutulog lang at gagala sa daytime. Will comeback again pag gumala ulit sa tagaytay.

I understand that the price is way too low for a hotel that sits in a good location. Room has 2 single beds and 1 queen bed. Though the sleeping area is fairly clean but I must say that the toilet in this room is the worst! Room 202. I can't comprehend my disappointment further but we arrived with toilet rim being dirty, shower area looks like it has not been maintained for years. Horrible tile grout, shower head -- horrible overall.
I've seen good reviews of this hotel in the booking apps, being "clean" that's why I can't understand how come we did not get the same one.
NEVER AGAIN.
