Beautiful, spacious rooms and excellent service! I love that there is a Starbucks onsite, and the views and baclony are wonderful amenities.

Was a wonderful two nights the hotel is very clean and well equipped although a little expensive it does come with a few extra perks bike rental free for two hours and the beach chairs. Would definitely return

Hotel. I stayed at Hotel Maren for one week in mid-August 2024. The staff, from the lobby to housekeeping, were friendly, client-focused, and consistently checked in to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was immaculate, with high-quality furniture that felt almost brand new. The modern interior design added a stylish touch, and daily cleaning kept everything tidy. One of the two elevators was out of service for the first couple of days, which was inconvenient, but it was quickly resolved. Beach. The beach is conveniently located just across the road from the hotel. Both the sand and water were clean, thanks to the daily maintenance by the local staff. I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere with no loud music from both local facilities and other hotel guests. The beach was pleasantly uncrowded, and on some days, it was almost empty. However, the biggest letdown of my trip was dealing with the "beach mafia" ("BB") that controls the beach umbrellas and amenities. As a guest of Maren, you get access to beach chairs and towels, but their service runs only from 9 AM to 5 PM. I wanted to avoid the midday sun, so my ideal beach time was between 7:30 AM - 10:30/11 AM and 4 PM - 7:30 PM, which fell outside their service hours. Additionally, renting a beach umbrella costs $30 per day (plus tip). I ended up ordering my own umbrella from Amazon, which was delivered to the hotel overnight. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but definitely not what you'd expect from a high-class hotel. Why not provide a few permanent umbrellas on the beach? Vibe. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of the neighborhood, yet still within walking distance of lively bars. It’s an ideal location for a peaceful getaway, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, if you’re after a buzzing nightlife, Fort Lauderdale—and this neighborhood in particular—may not be your best bet. In that case, you might want to consider Miami. Bonus. I have to mention the strange underwater pool lights. They were red, and it felt like swimming in a pool of blood. It was one of the oddest things I’ve seen in a while. Just to be clear, I’m not into horror movies or psychological theories. So, there are no subconscious analogies. It is what it is. It gave off a creepy vibe. To be fair, I don’t use resort pools much since I prefer spending time at the beach. However, it would be nice to relax by the pool in the evening with a cocktail. I would suggest the hotel switch the underwater lights to something more soothing, like blue or yellow. Overall, despite some minor issues, Maren is an excellent choice for a quiet, relaxing vacation. I would definitely recommend it, and if I get a good discount, I’ll consider staying here again.
