We knew we were getting a bunk room, which worked fine for our family. But we didn't know that there was some sort of big reunion/ convention going on at the same time we were there, so we had a dj blasting music right out our window and people were smoking right outside our window and their smoke filled our room since it was very hot and we had to have our windows open to get some air. The dj stopped at 10pm but the people congregated for several more hours which made it challenging to sleep. The room was basic but nice. The facilities were nice and breakfast was good.

Excellent location and views with affordable options for room and food choices (affordable by regional standards). The hotel is spotless and the staff is remarkably friendly and helpful. For a gourmet meal, walk down to the sister hotel, the Villars Palace. Experience the deck with a vast view and a historic bar/apothecary and lounge. Even the shared bath single rooms are cozy.

The hotel was really nice and the staff were wonderful, I was only disappointed in the fact that it wasn’t not clear when booking that the hotel charges a car park fee of 15 CCF.

The room was not prepared when I arrived, but the people in the reception fixed that very quickly with an upgrade to another (and bigger) room. Overall a very nice place to stay. Also a fairly big parking on the site (extra cost per night). Great service from the staff!

My stay was great! The kind lady at the reception desk was friendly, interested in my stay, and exceedingly helpful. The same kind lady was at the reception desk Saturday morning and was just as friendly and helpful as the night before. She seemed genuinely concerned about me because it was raining and I had no umbrella. She showed me the way to the bus station and told me where I could stand out of the rain until the bus arrived. The room was great. The staff, even better!

Great place to stay for easy access to the ski slopes. Minimal amenities as was expected. The beds were pleasantly roomy considering bunks and were very comfortable! The breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again

This property is simply outstanding. We had the two bedroom apartment for myself, my husband and our 2 children. The apartment was perfect. The kitchen was very useful when you are traveling with a family and don’t always want to eat out. The room itself was modern, clean and a really nice feel to it. The main lodge dining room/ hang out room is idyllic. It looks like something from a storybook about a perfect lodge in a Swiss village. The food is wonderful and the price was reasonable for Switzerland which tends to be an expensive country. I would highly recommend this hotel for the location also. Only a two minute walk to the center of Villars, a quick trip to the gondola, a local shop, restaurants and pharmacy. Also one of my children had a serious rapid illness and the hotel was able to get us a taxi in moments and there is a doctor office was 3 minutes away. This hotel deserves 5 stars in my opinion.
