Rachabhura Hotel

Sunday night was very quiet. Consequently some atmosphere was lost. Staff were very friendly and polite. Perfect for my wife and I for 1 night 👍

ชอบโรงแรมนี้ที่มีสระว่ายน้ำ ราคาส่วนลดดีเลยราคาไม่แพงคุ้มค่ามากค่ะ ถึงรร.จะไม่ใหญ่แต่ก็พอเพียงสำหรับการพักผ่อนค่ะ ห้องพักไม่เยอะแต่พนักงานบริการดีตลอดการเข้าพักค่ะ

A solid three star rating for what essentially something that aspires to be a 4 star resort. I wish to be as fair as possible as I provide my feedback comparing what is usually expected at this price point. I stayed one night at a pool access villa (just under 4k THB). First impressions was that it’s new and modern and the check in staff at the counter were extremely friendly. After a smooth check-in a was brought to a golf cart that took me to my room, this particular staff did not offer to help with my bags, nor did he make sure i was able to enter my room. He just stopped and said “this room” in Thai, I got off and he just drove off. When I got into the room, I was glad to find it’s very clean and well stocked with all the necessary amenities. Both the living room and bedroom has direct pool access. What I was less impressed with was the lack in modern features such as a smart TV with streaming apps & proper mirroring function or wall sockets with USB charging ports. With the exception of the socket occupied by the TV and router, there was not a single electric socket in the living area - I had to extend my charging cable from the dressing table all the way to the living room to charge up my laptop. I had access to two pools, one is the private one reserved for villa guests and the other is the one open to all guests. Both were clean and had suitable lengths for swimming laps. One issue when sitting outside for too long is that you notice the hotel has lots of flies and mosquitoes. A good resort would have controls in place to reduce the impact of flying insects. Here the big flies just stick to you and refuse to leave. I attempted to use the open-air fitness zone (which in itself is a great concept) but I barely started my workout when I was completely surrounded by mosquitoes from head to toe, super frustrating and itchy - I ended up returning to my room to do HIITs instead. Having read some of the reviews on the food, I decided not to try their restaurant during dinner and lunch. And for breakfast I became sure I made the e right call. The selection was unimaginative or lacklustre. Even if I stayed in a basic room at around 1.6k, this breakfast would still be disappointing. Neither the Thai nor the western selections were good. Again the staff at the restaurant were not the friendliest. You can tell that the management has tried to promote itself as being a luxury resort , but it falls far short. The infrastructure is there but the rest of it just doesn’t support its intentions.
