    A really well-rounded stay with excellent value for money. The location is convenient, the property is clean and well maintained, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The facilities are also very good, making the overall experience comfortable and hassle-free. I'd happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a reliable place to stay.

    My recent stay at The Fern Satara left me thoroughly disappointed, primarily due to the shockingly poor service standards, particularly in the areas of buffet breakfast and in-room dining. On Day 1 of the buffet breakfast, I ordered a cheese dosa that simply never arrived. After repeated waiting and following up, I had to eventually cancel it—an unacceptable situation for any hotel that claims to offer quality service. The staff throughout breakfast service were cold, inattentive, and noticeably slow, giving the impression that guest requests were more of an inconvenience than a priority. Unfortunately, this was not a one-off. In-room dining was no better. A dish I attempted to order was unavailable for two consecutive days—with no suggestion of alternatives or effort to accommodate. On Day 1, the used plates remained in the room far too long despite us calling and asking for them to be cleared. On Day 2, the order was botched again—we received plain curd instead of raita, and the papad we had ordered was missing altogether. If that wasn’t enough, the second day of buffet breakfast followed the same frustrating pattern. I ordered a pancake, which arrived so late it completely ruined the start of my day. Again, the staff were lethargic, disengaged, and lacking any sense of urgency or hospitality. It is genuinely disheartening to see such poor execution in a hotel that is part of a respected chain. The consistent pattern of negligence, delays, and apathy from the staff is not only unprofessional but reflects a deeper issue with management and training. I sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously. Hospitality is not just about rooms and decor—it’s about delivering service with care, attention, and reliability, all of which were glaringly absent during my stay.
