    No surprises at check-in. Everything as advertised and a great historic hotel and the food was excellent.

    This is a no-frills, comfortable hotel at the heart of Knowlton. Built in the mid-1800s, it has been renovated but still has charm. It is not handicapped accessible and don’t expect help with your bags. A bit high for off season (late October) but the room is clean and warm. Melissa at the desk was very accommodating.

    Charming , nice staff. Communal kitchen area. Keurig machines and mini -fridges in the shared hallway. Many stairs to reach the rooms so keep that in mind. Room smelled musty even after the a/c had been on for hours.
