O’Kell’s Inns Ltd. should be ashamed—this so-called four-star hotel would not pass one star! Our room was dirty, our shower and vents were mouldy, and badly maintained. Curtains hung unattached, the window casing was broken and had spikes along the sill. Housekeeping is unreliable or absent. Everything is tired and stained. The Management ignores guests and, when challenged, resorts to hostility. The dining room is filthy: sticky tables, broken chairs, and an expired fire certificate is on display (dated 2019). This is a health and safety risk, not a four-star hotel. As a seasoned traveller, I can say plainly: AVOID this place. It is unfit for its rating, and, with the exception of a lovely member of staff named Lucy and her colleague (I don’t know her name) this should be an embarrassment to the Isle of Man’s Tourist Board.

The staff were excellent always helpful and willing to help too, food was well above the standard of other Hotels, and the rooms were well kept and cosy. We were so impressed with the Hotel we've booked to stay again in September.. the only negative was that there was no lift, which made things slightly difficult for us but manageable Thank you to everyone who made our stay so pleasant .

Small carpark at rear but always a space. Friendly helpful staff. Good choice of food for breakfast. Good bar food menu. Great location for visiting the whole island.

Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of drinks but unfortunately food was a bit underwhelming. Rooms were nice and well kept but the shower base was a bit slippy. Nice selection of complimentary items were provided and supplemented on a daily basis. All in all a very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to re-book there in the future.

I had a very comfortable stay at the George which was in a convenient location for my particular visit to the Isle of Man on this occasion. My room was good with an ensuite bathroom which was fine. I appreciated having a well stocked tea and coffee tray in the room. I had a comfortable bed. Castletown is a pleasant place to stay with enjoyable coastal walks from there when the weather is good. Castletown also has a good bus service and the Railway station is not too far away from the centre. Thank you to the staff at the George and I would stay at the George again when in the Isle of Man

Well-situated in the centre of town with friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast menu, food quality and cooked to order. Good food served all day and pleasant bar area with wide choice of drinks. Good value and very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Some areas a little in need of updating/refurbishment but characterful and clean throughout.
