We had a really pleasant stay at Melia Ba Vi. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and surrounded by nature, which makes it perfect for a short escape from the city. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view and good privacy. Facilities are well-maintained and the pool area is a highlight. Breakfast was decent with a good variety, though not too exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One small downside is that the location is a bit remote and getting around the resort can take some time, but it also adds to the quiet and relaxing vibe. Overall, a solid choice for a weekend retreat. Would recommend for couples looking to unwind.

The best stay in Vietnam! Very clean and located in the national park of Ba Vi! It was amazing stay and very relaxed and peaceful. They have feeding animals activity in the resort which is one of our highlights. Highly recommended Melia resorts.

1. Slow service despite an almost empty restaurant: I arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 PM. Although the restaurant was not busy (only a few tables were occupied), the service was inexplicably slow and inattentive from the very beginning. 2. Unclean dishes and missing utensils: Shortly after I sat down, I was handed a bowl that was dirty, with soup residue still visible inside it. Additionally, my table was missing basic utensils – there were no chopsticks provided until I specifically requested them. This lack of attention to basic hygiene and proper table setup is absolutely unacceptable. 3. Order details and promised time: I ordered a combo meal that included a beef hotpot and grilled Hemibagrus fish. I also placed a separate order for a grilled Ba Vi beef dish. The serving staff informed me that the food would be ready in approximately 15–20 minutes. 4. Excessive wait with no explanation: However, more than 20 minutes passed and none of the dishes I ordered had been served. During this wait, the only thing brought to my table was a small basket of complimentary bread. No one offered any explanation or apology for why my actual dishes were delayed. 5. Incomplete service of the hotpot: Eventually, the hotpot broth was brought out – but shockingly, it was delivered by itself, without any of the accompanying ingredients (meat, vegetables, noodles, etc.) that are supposed to come with a hotpot. I had to wait another five minutes before the plate of ingredients for the hotpot finally arrived. This staggered, disorganized service made no sense and only added to my frustration. The beef in the hotpot was cut far too thick and completely against proper hotpot standards, making it difficult to cook properly and ruining the dining experience. This is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant in a so-called 5-star resort. 6. Main dishes never served (forced to leave): By 8:20 PM – nearly an hour after I placed my order – the other two dishes (the grilled fish and the grilled beef) still had not been served. My patience was completely exhausted by this time. I ultimately had to leave the restaurant without ever receiving the grilled fish and beef I ordered. 7. Staff arguing with other guests: To make matters worse, during the time I was waiting, I witnessed your staff getting into a loud argument with guests at another table. This confrontation created a tense, unpleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. It further demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism among your employees. 8. Outcome of the meal: In the end, the only items I actually received from my order were the complimentary bread, the drinks I ordered, and the hotpot broth with its ingredients (after the delay). The main dishes I had ordered – the grilled Hemibagrus fish and the grilled Ba Vi beef – never arrived before I left. Essentially, I sat in your restaurant for almost an hour and left hungry, having not received the majority of the food I paid for. This entire experience was appalling and far below the standards I expected from a resort of Melia’s reputation. I chose to spend my holiday at Melia Ba Vi Retreat and paid higher holiday rates expecting a premium experience. Instead, I was subjected to service failures that completely ruined my evening. It is unacceptable that I ended up paying for what was supposed to be a special dinner, only to receive such poor treatment and barely any of the food I ordered. It is unacceptable that Melia charges higher holiday rates, but then delivers such poor quality service, with the excuse being that “it was a busy holiday.” If your team is not capable of handling holidays, you should not be charging premium prices.
