It was quiet like one should be on vacation after working throughout a pandemic in the healthcare field! I loved every bit of it. The only thing would be they do tend to be quite pricey considering I grew up in kenya and so when visiting from the states I always look into getting ‘local’ deals since I speak Swahili

The Majlis Hotel is a fabulous get away on the Kenya Coast. Not only is it beautiful and comfortable, but it is located on the MUCH less developed Manda Island, just across a channel from better known Lamu Island. This way, you can enjoy the beauty of nature and visit the Lamu World Heritage site at your convenience.

Our transfer was by Hotel complimentary boat from the airport ( makes sure you organise a few days before ).
Our room was a junior suite, it was huge.
The island is paradise.
Everyone super friendly, happy & helpful.
