Villa Belle Plage

We had a perfect week at Villa Belle Plage end of January 2026 - The quiet location right on the beach is excellent. Although it is not a private beach, due to the boulders on either side, it is almost only used by guests staying in the bungalows. - Bertrand was very helpful and always available. He also booked the taxi to the ferry for us, so we could be sure that a taxi would actually come. - The bungalow was very clean and had everything we needed. We particularly appreciated the coffee machine and the provision of candles and mosquito coils. - The internet/Wi-Fi connection was very good

We stayed for 9 nights at Villa Belle Plage and really enjoyed our stay. All the information we received from Bert in advance was useful and relevant and helped us to plan our stay. Bert booked our hire car and it was ready and waiting as we stepped out of the airport doors. He also printed out our ferry tickets for a trip to La Digue (a definite must) and took a message from a restaurant we were trying to get in touch with. Such a lovely gentleman! The Villa is beautifully situated on a quiet beach not far from Anse Georgette, another stunning beach. The winds were coming in quite strongly most of the time we were there and bringing in some seaweed so we often swam elsewhere on Praslin but always came home for sundowners at sunset! There are several local grocery shops you can walk to and we ate in as well as dined out (the villa is well-stocked with cooking utensils). Praslin is a beautiful island and we found lots to do. We visited both Vallée de Mai and Fond Ferdinand nature trails (you can get a ticket online to cover both.) We also took Bert’s recommendation for a day out by boat to Curieuse and St Pierre for giant tortoises and snorkelling. I thoroughly recommend Villa Belle Plage.

Beautiful location. Extremely clean and everything had been provided for even down to insect repellent coils to burn for a romantic evening eating on the patio listening to the waves. Perfect location for walking to Anse Georgette beach and hiking over the Island to Anse Lazio beach which are both breathtaking. We hired a car for our last 3 days to explore the whole Island which our host Bert organised for us and was very cheap, however there is a regular bus service and the locals are very friendly. We had a enjoyable visit to Vallée de Mai nature reserve which was about a 20min drive . We would definitely recommend a self catering stay at Villa Belle Plage to explore Praslin Island. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a couple of takeaways however we mainly self catered buying groceries from the 3 local stores within a short walking distance. Bert lives next door for any assistance but there is a booklet provided with all information needed for your stay. What a wonderful stay we have had at Belle Plage. Bert and Danielle are fantastic hosts and are experts at providing everything above and beyond expectations. Could not get better position or facilities and perfect for a visit to Anse Gorgette.Own spot on a perfect private beach with wonderful sea breeze and sunset views.
