Very beautiful but also peaceful island. We spent 3 weeks and rented a car so we went everywhere. Many nice Beaches,Museums,Monasteries, the Petrified forest is a must see and should be included with the boat ride. Our hotel location was in the village of Thermi which is about 15 minutes away from the city. The sandy beach near our hotel was 3 minutes away driving towards the city,Or a 15 minute walk along the coast line.

From the moment we entered the gate, our experience at Galazio Asteri 1 was the most welcoming and relaxing stay we have ever had in our travels. Dimitris and Michaela are two of the kindest people you will ever meet and make you
feel like family. The hotel apartment was well furnished and impeccably clean. The beds are super comfortable and kitchen has everything you need when you want to do your own cooking. The swimming pool has four distinct water jet features, the best being the "jet stream" that you can swim against and trim your waistline. Good to try after a delicious dinner of calamari or octopus and ouzo at the waterfront restaurant in front of the hotel. We only spent two nights but plan on returning soon.
